Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  BLAKE is a beautiful almost 3-year-old, 74lb Great Pyrenees. This beautiful girl is currently a resident at our sanctuary, St. Frances Farm, in SC. BLAKE isn't looking for a couch to lay on, or getting puppachinos at Starbucks on a Sunday drive (although, she'd never turn down a puppachino!) she's looking for a job, with acreage to run.  Great Pyrenees were bred to guard livestock and BLAKE is typical to her breed. She wants to run and roam and be put to work. If you have a job opening, she'll send you her resume! Breed:  Great Pyrenees/Bully Mix 68 pounds 2 years old Light Brindle Housebroken Yes Great with Kids and Dogs   Daffodil is a total sweetheart.  She is a smart, affectionate, gentle soul with a calm energy.  She will happily lounge around the house with her people.  She loves to go for  long walks and can spend hours sunbathing on the deck.  Her favorite place is to be with her people.  In the house she is very calm and well behaved.  But she’s a party-girl at the doggie daycare center!  She’s uber doggie social and great off – leash.  Her calmness makes her a great companion dog.  She is fully housetrained and has completed advanced obedience training.   She is an AKC Certified Canine Good Citizen! She walks well on the leash.  And is fully vetted.  She would thrive in a home where her people are around most of the day and having a canine companion would be heaven. She’d be a great family dog with older children, or companion for solo, couples or retirees with visiting grandchildren.  She is a very social girl and thrives at the dog park, hiking with her family or in doggie day care.  But her favorite time is TV time on the Couch with her beloved pack. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Alex (GA) is a male Great Pyrenees mix rescued in Georgia, estimated to be 7 months old in October 2021 and likely to be 85-95 pounds when full-grown. His foster mom says he is a 'giant, crazy and insanely happy puppy!' All people are his friends (he especially loves men!), he loves other dogs, and even likes cats.  Alex will do best in a suburban home with a fenced yard and an energetic doggy companion on the larger side who wants to play much of the day. He loves to eat as much as he loves to play. If there are children in the home, they should be on the older side: Alex really doesn't know how big he is!  He's working on his chewing, mouthing, leash and meal-time manners - the usual puppy behaviors which will benefit from continued and consistent training in his adoptive home as he grows into adulthood. True to his breed, he can be stubborn, he is very smart and his big personality matches his size. He has a true zest for life, so he's a fun, interesting and busy guy!  Alex has been neutered and microchipped, and will be up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) at time of adoption. Our veterinary partner estimates that Paddy is 17 weeks old at the time of intake in April 2023. Paddy is good with people and other dogs. Paddy was underweight and suffering from a skin infection when he was brought into rescue, and now that he's been treated for that infection, we can't wait to see how stunningly handsome this guy will be when his fur grows in. Paddy is a funny, friendly, sweet guy who has a lot to say in his baritone bark!
