Story
I bought him from an Indiana farm as a puppy. He is 2 years old. I am looking for a home where he can live comfortably in a backyard and someone who will always give him time because he has separation anxiety. I would also like someone who I can contact to see him and take him home with me sometimes. He is fluffy, adorable, playful, chaotic and funny.

Story
Adoption donation $599 weight  84 lbs Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024     Logan is a friendly, energetic and sweet boy whose father was a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom was a 35 lbs mixed breed. Logan loves to run and play, he is good with all the dogs in his foster home and he is house trained, but like any rescue  may need some training and patience while he settles in at a new home. Logan loves toys and bones and attaches strongly to his person, he will follow his Foster Mom around and likes to lie at her feet. Logan’s original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time.   Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time  for both Logan to find a loving home of his own. Logan  would love a yard to run around in or  another dog to play with. He has  been around children and has been fine with them, he just loves to be part of the family, All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Alex (GA) is a male Great Pyrenees mix rescued in Georgia, estimated to be 7 months old in October 2021 and likely to be 85-95 pounds when full-grown. His foster mom says he is a 'giant, crazy and insanely happy puppy!' All people are his friends (he especially loves men!), he loves other dogs, and even likes cats.  Alex will do best in a suburban home with a fenced yard and an energetic doggy companion on the larger side who wants to play much of the day. He loves to eat as much as he loves to play. If there are children in the home, they should be on the older side: Alex really doesn't know how big he is!  He's working on his chewing, mouthing, leash and meal-time manners - the usual puppy behaviors which will benefit from continued and consistent training in his adoptive home as he grows into adulthood. True to his breed, he can be stubborn, he is very smart and his big personality matches his size. He has a true zest for life, so he's a fun, interesting and busy guy!  Alex has been neutered and microchipped, and will be up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) at time of adoption. If you would like to take Alex home, please apply online to adopt Alex (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2024, 11:56 am

Story
1.6 years old, 45lbs, PYR & Border Collie Mix (We have a DNA test on her), Spayed  Is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. NEEDS HOME OUTSIDE OF THE CITY. Can NOT be adopted in the city. Suburbs and beyond only for this girl :)  NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME: Great in group settings with other dogs such as group classes and play dates. But does NOT like to share her home with other dogs.  Level of dog ownership experience needed: INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy level: MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.) Cuddle bug level: High! - Very snuggly, VERY soft,  Potty trained? Yes - no accidents  Comfy with strangers? Yes - loves to meet new people  Comfortable with children? (ALWAYS requires adult supervision) Yes - okay with respectful children  Social with other dogs? Yes But Needs To Be The Only Dog In the Home - does great with dogs at daycare, dog training, playdates. But must be the ONLY dog in the home. Glennie is good with other dogs but does not like to share her home space with other dogs.  Mouthy behavior: Respectful with her mouth - She likes to grab socks or clothes but does not destroy anything Leash manners:  Working on this - Glennie has done a good amount of professional training. She is continuing to work on her leash manners: not pulling. Sometimes she gets over excited when she sees another dog.  Okay in the city? NO - Glennie must be adopted out of the city. Needs a home in the burbs or beyond.  Jumping to say hi? Low - is pretty good at keeping all four on the floor.  Separation anxiety? Nope - does not exhibit separation anxiety  Crate trained? Nope - does not use a crate  Medical status Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake  How this dog ended up with Social Tees: Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Meet Blake, the magnificent almost 3-year-old, 74lb Great Pyrenees at St. Frances Farm sanctuary in SC. With her striking beauty and typical breed traits, Blake is on the hunt for a meaningful job and acreage to explore. While she wouldn't mind the occasional puppachino treat, her heart lies in fulfilling her ancestral duty of guarding livestock and putting her skills to use.  Off the leash, Blake is a wonder to watch as she gracefully roams the property, freely exploring her surroundings. Initially, she was shy and unsocialized when she arrived at the sanctuary with her sister, but thanks to the dedicated staff's efforts, Blake has blossomed into a more confident and affectionate dog.    Though she may be wary of strangers at first, earning her trust will grant you a loyal and loving companion for life. Blake yearns for a forever home where she can run, roam, and be surrounded by the beauty of nature. If you have a farm or ample space that needs a furry guardian, Blake is ready to send you her impressive resume. She's a pro at interviews, and with your love and care, she will thrive and live her best life as the regal Great Pyrenees she was born to be.   Blake is currently housed at St. Francis Farm in Carlisle, South Carolina. Her adoption fee is $300.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
PENNSYLVANIA: Everyone wants to add more love and joy to their lives – well, we found the missing LINC-oln for that! Young Lincoln is a happy, good-looking pup who enjoys all kinds of activities, but what makes him happiest is being by your side! His foster says: “Lincoln is one factastic boy! He is super sweet and loves every moment of every day!” Lincoln is only about 2 years old and weighs an elegant 80 lbs, with his best days ahead of him! Sadly, he was found tied to the fence of a NYC public shelter, but even then Lincoln maintained his “pawsitive vibe” energy and has since been patiently waiting for his furever home. Lincoln is a loyal friend who will love his future family not only unconditionally, but also passionately with his zest for life! Lincoln does have a higher energy level, but he is easily entertained and could run after a simple ball all day. An active home with daily exercise or a fenced in yard would be best for this handsome boy. Lincoln loves car rides, other dogs, hiking, and swimming! No matter what breed he is, Lincoln sure is easy on the eyes; we speculate he may have some Anatolian Shepherd or Great Pyrenees in him – but with such a love for the water, you would think he is part fish! Lincoln is available for adoption and comes neutered, house-trained, up to date on shots, and micro chipped. Lincoln gets along and has been living with other dog(s) and does OK around kids. Lincoln bonds very deeply with his people and because of his eagerness to please, he was a star student in obedience training. He has learned so much with his foster and he is now ready for his furever family. Lincoln wants to do anything to make his person/people happy; he truly has so much love to give. Can Lincoln give that love to you? To meet this one-of-a-kind guy, apply to adopt Lincoln at AmsterDog.org or contact 917-689-8414 (texts ok) for more information. Lincoln is waiting for you! Thanks for caring about a pet in need!
