Story
Koa is a sweet, playful boy with a heart as big as his curiosity. He loves being part of whatever you're doing and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. Smart and observant, he's always tuned in and ready for the next adventure. Playtime is Koa's love language. Tug of war is his absolute favorite, and he enjoys daily walks and good, energetic play sessions. Chew toys are a must for this fun loving guy. But above all else, Koa lives for affection, pets are his number one joy in life, and he'll happily curl up in your lap or snuggle right beside you on the couch to soak up every bit of love. Koa is wonderful with kids; he's gentle, patient, and enjoys watching them play. He does need to be the only dog in the home, where he can shine as the loyal, devoted companion he's meant to be. If you're looking for a loving, attentive, playful best friend who will always be by your side, Koa might just be your perfect match. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Koa is s participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.March 21, 2026, 12:23 am

Story
Meet Coconut! Coconut is one of fourteen precious Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix puppies who entered a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Coconut and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and this little girl has grown into a thriving, personality-packed sweetheart! Coconut is equal parts feisty and sweet. She has a confident, spunky side and isn’t afraid to make herself known — especially if she thinks it’s time for attention or snacks! She’s a bit vocal and expressive, which just adds to her charm and big personality. She absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. And food? Let’s just say she’s very motivated. Treats and mealtime are serious business in Coconut’s world — which will make training fun and rewarding! Despite her sassy streak, Coconut is incredibly loving and bonds closely with her people. She enjoys playing with her siblings, being in the middle of the action, and then settling down for cuddles once she’s gotten her energy out. Because she’s still young, Coconut is at a wonderful age to grow and adapt in just about any home. With proper introductions and continued socialization, she should do well with dogs, cats, kids, or as a solo pup who gets to be the star of the show. Coconut is 7 weeks old and available for foster-to-adopt.  What does Foster-to-Adopt mean?It means you bring Coconut home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting (such as vaccines or spay, if age-appropriate). Once her vetting is completed through our rescue, the adoption gets finalized. It’s a great way to ensure a smooth transition while we complete her medical care! If you’re looking for a bold, funny, food-loving little firecracker who will keep you laughing and loving, Coconut might just be your girl. ##2650453##

Meet Plum! Plum is one of fourteen precious Great Pyrenees/Doberman mix puppies who entered a high-euthanasia shelter with their mama. When their mom developed mastitis, Plum and most of her siblings had to be bottle-fed — and this tiny girl has proven just how strong and resilient she is! One of the smallest in the litter, Plum may be little, but her heart is huge. She is incredibly sweet and has the most tender, loving nature. She can be occasionally timid in new situations, but once she feels safe, she absolutely melts into you. Snuggles are her favorite thing — whether she’s cuddled up with her siblings in a puppy pile or tucked into her person’s arms. Don’t let her petite size fool you — Plum also loves to play! She enjoys romping around with her siblings and joining in on puppy fun before settling down for a cozy nap. Because she’s still young, Plum is at a wonderful age to grow and adapt in just about any home. With patience, love, and proper introductions, she should do beautifully with dogs, cats, kids, or as a cherished solo pup. Her slightly softer personality will thrive in a home that gives her reassurance and lots of affection. Plum is 7 weeks old and ready to go to foster-to-adopt. What does Foster-to-Adopt mean?It means you bring Plum home as a foster while she finishes up any remaining vetting (such as vaccines or spay, if age-appropriate).
