After completing antibiotics and many medicated baths to treat her skin infection, she is feeling much better and is ready to find her forever family.We recently received her DNA results from Wisdom Panel, and Sassafras is quite the mix! Her top breeds are Great Pyrenees (21%), American Pit Bull Terrier (19%), Chow Chow (10%), and American Staffordshire Terrier (10%). Sassafras is a fun-loving puppy with lots of energy. She loves playing with her canine foster siblings and would thrive in a home with another playful dog or an active family with children. She is doing great with crate training and continues to make excellent progress with potty training. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority.
