Story
Romeo is a one year old Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Also on heart worm prevention. He is about 69 lbs. He is very loving playful pup. Loves to fetch and play ball. Also loves treats. Knows basic commands and listens well. He is great with adults and older kids. Not comfortable around small children. He is rather protective and is a concern I do have with him. With training he would be a great service dog or great for a healing veteran. I feel he will need someone with experience could really make his potential. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Pastel is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.July 14, 2025, 5:24 pm

Story
We think Granger is about a year and a half old. We found him out wandering our raw land in Whitesboro and decided to take him in because of how kind and gentle he was. He has been an excellent watch dog and really loves humans. We have raised him as an outdoor dog to date. A person could choose to adapt him to indoor living if they desired with some training. He is very food motivated and I have had the best success training him with treats. He is recently fixed and has had zero health issues. We are only interested in rehoming him since we chose to get chickens this year. He hasn't had a single issue until we chose to get chickens. I was hoping I could teach him to leave them be but have not been successful. So if you aren't planning on having chickens run around your property all day he could be the perfect dog for you!

Story
Please help us find a new home for our border collie / Great Pyrenees mix, Otter! Hes a very SMART, fun-loving, and sweet dog - about 1.5 years old - and would make a great addition to the right home. He gets along great with other dogs and is generally very friendly with everyone he meets, including our 3 year old. He is very loving and cuddly but also loves to be outside. He has shown some resource guarding behavior a few times where he has shown teeth and air-snapped when he was grabbed too hard or has a high-value item - all expected things with an adolescent guardian/herding dog, but unfortunately we can’t allow with a three year old who doesn’t totally understand. He would do great in a home without kids and with owners who want to run, play, etc with him as he is a very loyal companion. Or he would make an incredible working farm dog where he has a job to do. He has been through dog training and knows basic commands like sit, wait, come, out, etc and is fully potty trained.

Story
Paisley is a 1.5-year-old spayed female Pyrenees/Lab mix with a heart as big as her gentle soul. This sweet girl is the perfect balance of calm and cuddly—she adores being close to her people and melts when you wrap her in a hug. Paisley enjoys exploring the outdoors, whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or simply sniffing around the yard. Her absolute favorite thing in the whole world is water. She absolutely comes to life when shes splashing around in our splash pad or mini pool! She’s a big fan of chicken jerky treats, and her happy tail wags say it all when she gets one! With her soft, gentle demeanor, Paisley is a true cuddle bug who’s ready to share endless love and snuggles. She seems to do well with other dogs, though a meet and greet will be needed to make sure she’s the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a loving, calm, and affectionate companion to brighten your days, Paisley just might be the one for you!AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THE DOG STOP IN THE COLONY.
