Meet Skellington! Skellington is a four year old Husky available for adoption. He was found a few weeks ago as a stray with a black hoodie on with skeleton bones and we were surprised that no one called looking for him. We checked our records and online reports and unforunately came up empty handed. Skellington does well with other dogs and wouldn`t mind a friend at home. He loves treats and likes to zoom throught the snow (of course). Yes, he is a handsome boy and an absolute goofy boy but he is also a Husky. Huskies like to run and need to be worked with. They like to go on long walks, can play for hours, and have the sassiest attitudes on top of everything. Skellington is doing well at the shelter and is very affectionate but don`t let his looks fool you. He has all the Husky attitude and sass and can be quite naughty! Huskies can be on a whole other level at times but with discipline, exercise, and training, they can be very rewarding and great companions! His adoption fee is $100, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter. He is already fixed! Loo is such a special, loving girl! Loo is under 2 yrs old, 50lbs, up to date on vaccines, potty-trained, microchipped, and now spayed! She was picked up as a stray in Southern CA and tossed into one of the highest-kill shelters in America. She was deadlined with a scheduled euthanasia time (due to no space/homeless pet crisis). Miraculously, Loo was rescued; so we could foster her here! If you are interested in adopting her, have Husky/Shepsky experience, have a very active lifestyle, and want to spoil her too - let us know! Loo is gaining her confidence with new people and animals. She's learned how to walk on a leash, play with toys; she knows her name, and 'sit' already! She is an intelligent, fun, athletic, loyal, cuddle buddy! She's a velcro-dog. No cats please. Story
Cubby is a 6 year old male Husky who ended up here at the shelter due to his Husky antics and an unfortunate change in family dynamics have changed and his people are no longer able to care for him appropriately. He is looking for an owner who will keep him out of trouble (he likes to escape the yard whenever he is able), and doesn't like to be alone. He would prefer an owner who is active and likes to go on walks and adventures. Cubby has lived with female dogs and has done well, he also has lived with cats and children without issue. Cubby is housetrained but can be destructive if left alone outside of a secure kennel. We recommend a specific kennel style to keep him safe and out of trouble when his people aren't home. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (3 year rabies!), and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is FREE and he is SO ready to leave the shelter.
