Story
10-2023 Max is a 4 yr. old, male Husky - Pomeranian mix, aka a Pomsky. Max weighs 35 lbs. Max carries a lot of husky traits, one of which, he is an escape artist! Max is energetic, active, strong, and playful. He loves toys and going for walks. He can be dog reactive, particularly large breed dogs; we have been working on this, he is getting better. Max thinks cats are for chasing, not uncommon for a husky! Max would be OK for a family dog, but only older kids, teens and up, no children under 10 years old. Max is fine in the car as long as he is restrained by doggie seatbelt, or crate, otherwise he is jumping from seat to seat! Max would love to have a securely fenced yard, with a fence 5 feet or taller, to run and round and play, but a fenced yard is not a requirement. Max has the energy of a puppy, so be ready to take multiple walks, runs each day. A well exercised dog is a good dog! Story
This beauty is Cyan, a 3 year old, 43-45 pound Husky mix who is as gentle as they come. He has stunning silky soft, cream colored coat with gorgeous blue eyes. Cyan is a wonderfully adjusted, gentle, loving dog who likes everyone he meets. Despite being a husky, he is not too energetic; he listens very well, knows some commands, and is respectful of the home. Cyan previously lived with an 8 year old boy and is very good with kids. He was well loved and cared for by his prior owner. Cyan gets along well with other dogs - currently in a foster home with several smaller to medium sized dogs. He loves to run the fenced-in yard and play chase with the other foster dogs. Cyan would really enjoy the company of another dog that would match his energy. He does not need to be crated, is housebroken, and would really do best with someone home more than not because if left alone too long he does get anxious. He would enjoy an active family/household who would enjoy taking Cyan for walks (maybe even runs) a couple times a day because he needs and enjoys the exercise. This dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, been provided inoculations, was tested for diseases, been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. He is in excellent health. FAST FACTS:*1 and a Half Year Old, 34 Pounds*Sweet, Loving, Gentle, Smart*Medium Playful Energy*People Friendly *Dog Friendly*Potty Trained*Crate Trained*Recovering From Heartworm Treatment*Training RequiredBIO:Hi all, I'm Pita, another Texas gal found as a stray and brought to an overcrowded shelter. Since Texas has the highest rate of animal euthanasia in the nation, I consider myself lucky indeed to have been rescued by FTF and brought to Chicago to find my forever home. My foster mom says I'm a sweet and loving pooch whose favorite things are giving hugs and kisses and getting lots of pets. I've discovered how much fun it is to go on walks. My leash manners are improving by the day, and I'm quite the social butterfly, always interested in meeting new people and pooches of all ages and sizes. While car rides were a new experience for me, I'm getting the hang of being the backseat navigator (everyone needs one of those-right?!). As I recover from heartworm treatment, I do need to be kept calm until cleared by the vet. But I can't wait for the day when I can be more active-perhaps joining you on long hikes and/or jogs. A few final facts about me. I'm potty trained, settle quickly in my crate, and don't chew on anything that doesn't belong to me. My weak point is food possessiveness. My foster mom is working with me with that, and I'm doing better. With your continued help, and the obedience classes you'll sign us up for (required for all young FTF pups), I know I'll break that bad habit in no time. So this is what you can expect if you adopt me into your home-a loving and gentle canine companion who will give you more love and happiness than you could ever imagine. Interested? Then please complete an adoption application and schedule a meet and greet. I believe we're destined to have a wonderful life together! Love and licks, PitaIf you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.

Story
We took Benny in at 5 months, he needed a home. We sent him to a trainer to help us. Benny is not your normal husky, he likes the outdoors but also wants to be indoors. Benny is very hyper, likes walks in the rain but doesn’t like to be alone when it’s raining. He gets very anxious. Sometimes you have to hang out with him. He does not sleep out at all. He does have a sensitive stomach, he walks a little crooked. We had X-rays taken of his lower back to make sure he was ok. We were told it’s probably how his previous owner had him tied up. He’s sweet, loves back rubs. My fiancé got sick and we can’t attend to Benny’s needs.. I love him and want someone to understand Benny is not your normal husky. My heart is sad but I need him to have a better home and to be happy and the attention he requires. Please reach out and we can talk. We do not feed him any table food. He eats Royal cane dried dog food.He eats twice a day. It’s very important to us that Benny finds a loving attentive home.
