Special Needs: NA- just gentle, positive reinforcement training, like all shelter dogs Radley and his sibling, Chilli, were dumped on a back country road. Roaming from place to place and having to fend for themselves until they ended up in the yard of our Intake Coordinator. They were brought into our shelter to try and find them a home. Radley has done very well with other dogs, but can guard food/water. He is wonderful with people and excellent with children. Radley is a 1 yr old male, 42lb husky mix. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. An experienced husky owner is preferred and a fence is required. No small animals.

Story
Hemi came from our local animal shelter with her puppies (who have already been adopted). She is a sweet girl and loves to play with other dogs. She pulls a bit on the leash, but loves to go for walks. She has not been in a home setting, so she would need to be train for indoor manners. Hemi is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home! This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org. If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

Story
Baby...Babishka!!! Babishka came into the rescue while she was still in the womb of her mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. Babishka is the runt of the litter. She is adorable, sweet, and loves to give kisses. She is at times quiet within the five puppies in her litter. She will sit back and watch everything around her. She is a smart girl! Babishka has taken to learning her puppy lessons from her mama very well. Mama-ishka has taught the kids that you don't pee/poo in your bed area nor near your food. Babishka is being kennel trained. She falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. She is also being potty trained. She will wake up and quickly make her way to the backyard door. She will even wake up from her naps and cry out to let us know she has to pee. She is a FAST learner! But, considering her very young age she will need continued training to help her be the best pup that she can be. She's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! This little girl is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! She does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. She will happily look at you with her big brown eyes and give you a big wet kiss! Her gaze will melt your heart!!! Babishka is ready to learn, love, and live with her family. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of Babishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for her... Spayed All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with Babishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.

Story
Hello everyone, my name is Miss Gracie and I'm a gorgeous 2-year-old sweetie looking for my forever family!  Being part Husky . . . I'm an energtic girl that loves my walks and playtime! I'll be the first to admit I've got a ton of puppy energy still left in me. My tail wags a million miles a minute because I always have a playful pep in my step. I love snuggling up in my cozy crate and will never have an accident inside as long as you don't leave me in there too long. I'm looking for an owner who has the time to play with me and help me be my very best. I'm with a great trainer that's showing me how to walk nicely on leash, sit and other basic obedience. I'm very loving, happy pup who can't wait to have a family and people to walk with and play with me. Do you have a fenced yard? I would love to play ball! I'm already working on my manners and can't wait to shower my new family with friendliness and cuddles! I may have a case of the zoomies from time to time, but I'm just a happy  pup looking to play and go on adventures. I'm also learning not to get protective over my food bowl. Gracie is going through a basic training program now and is ready for adoption. In this program he will have learned proper heeling on a leash, basic obedience, place command, off leash recall, people and dog socialization, kennel training and more! After adoption process is finalized, the new owners will work with the trainer 1 on 1 to learn what Gracie has learned in the program and how to keep up with training after going home. This will all be included in your adoption fee!   ##2009708##

Story
Maverick is a lovable 2-year-old husky mix looking for his forever home! This handsome guy celebrated his 2nd birthday on April 1st, and he's ready to bring his sweet personality and zest for life to a new family. He is very loving, cuddly and loves to "shake paw" - he wants to please. As a husky mix, Maverick has an abundance of energy and loves being active and needs walks and play. He'll thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and activities to keep his mind and body engaged. Huskies are known for their endurance and love of the outdoors, so Maverick would be an excellent companion for hiking, running, or any other adventures you have in mind. Maverick is a total sweetheart with people and other dogs. He's friendly, affectionate, and loves receiving attention and pets from his human friends. However, due to his exuberant nature, he may do best with older, more experienced children in the home. (In his previous home he was nervous when small children were chaotic, running/jumping)  Starting May 2 week, Maverick will begin training classes to help him learn good manners and become an even more well-rounded companion. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, he's sure to be a star pupil! Above all, Maverick is longing for a forever family to call his own. He promises to bring endless joy, companionship, and unconditional love to the right home. If you're ready to welcome this husky mix into your heart and life, please reach out today! ##2043185##
