Story
This beauty is Cyan, a 3 year old, 43-45 pound Husky mix who is as gentle as they come. He has stunning silky soft, cream colored coat with gorgeous blue eyes. Cyan is a wonderfully adjusted, gentle, loving dog who likes everyone he meets. Despite being a husky, he is not too energetic; he listens very well, knows some commands, and is respectful of the home. Cyan previously lived with an 8 year old boy and is very good with kids. He was well loved and cared for by his prior owner. Cyan gets along well with other dogs - currently in a foster home with several smaller to medium sized dogs. He loves to run the fenced-in yard and play chase with the other foster dogs. Cyan would really enjoy the company of another dog that would match his energy. He does not need to be crated, is housebroken, and would really do best with someone home more than not because if left alone too long he does get anxious. He would enjoy an active family/household who would enjoy taking Cyan for walks (maybe even runs) a couple times a day because he needs and enjoys the exercise. This dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, been provided inoculations, was tested for diseases, been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. He is in excellent health. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT acaringplace@comcast.netA Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. Story
We are unable to keep Yuki due to ongoing costs and general life changes. We have made this decision knowing that he deserves a better home than we can currently provide him. It was extremely hard to come to this decision. He is not up to date on his shots, and has a tooth that may need to be pulled. Right now the tooth is not bothering him. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He knows how to sit and lay down, however he will need to be crated when you are not home. He is very anxious and will sometimes be reactive while on a leash. He has done well with other dogs at daycare and loves to play. We are hoping to find a home for Yuki where he can have a yard, patient owner(s), and perhaps a dog that he can play with and learn from.

Story
Bruno...Big Bruno....Big Bruno-ishka!!! Bruno-ishka came into the rescue while he was still in the womb of his mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. Bruno-ishka is the only male in his litter of 5 puppies. You can tell where his Mama dog, Mamaishka, loves to play with him and cuddle him and love on him. He is a mama's boy for sure!!! Bruno-ishka must seem to know that he is the only male in his litter because he has an opinion about everything! If he does not like being in his kennel, he will let you know. If he needs to pee/poo, he is going to let you know. If he is not happy about coming inside, he will let you know!!! This little fiesty guy is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! He does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. He will happily look at you with his big BLUE eyes and give you a big wet kiss! His gaze will melt your heart!!! Bruno-ishka is being kennel trained. He falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. He is also being potty trained. He will wake up and quickly make his way to the backyard door. He will even wake up from his naps and cry out to let us know he has to pee. He's a FAST learner! But, considering his very young age he will need continued training to help him be the best pup that he can be. He's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! Bruno-ishka is ready to be learn, love, and live as a puppy should be. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of Bruno-ishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for him... Neutered All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with Bruno-ishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.
