Story
We adopted Mona after having a baby and she was about 3 months old at the time. She is now 10 months old. She ended up not being a dog that we can keep up with! She would do best in a home without young children atleast until better trained. Needs a couple or individual with the time, energy, space and patience that she requires. Must have experience with puppies and young active dogs. She completed 6 weeks of training and periodic training at home but we just don't have the time and space for her to thrive in. She is vocal and understands some commands like sit, leave it..but needs more of behavior training. She is potty trained and crate trained. No physical or health related issues. ..

Story
Hi there, my name is Maggie, and I am 7-year-old Siberian Husky. I'm quite the beauty with my all-white fur and striking ice-blue eyes! Im a nice medium size at 43lbs. My Owner surrendered me to a shelter because they couldn't take care of me anymore. My angel from Treasured Animal Rescue saw me there, just sitting so calmly in my kennel - just waiting. Now, I'm in a foster home with other dogs & cats, and I do well with them. I am interested in the cats and like to sniff them, but I never chase them. Once, a kitty swatted me. I thought they wanted to play, but my foster mom corrected me because she knew the kitty didnt want to play. I take correction very well and I just want to please. Im pretty good on a leash. When I go on a walk, I dont pull. If youre looking for a walking buddy, I would LOVE to take walks with you! I know some basic commands and I really enjoy the company of humans. I just want to be with my humans and get lots of pets. I am very good with kids. My foster family has three teens, and I really like them. Despite being middle aged, I have good energy and would do well with an active family to play with me and take me on walks. Because Im a nice, medium size, I could probably do well with school aged kids as young as 5 or 6, especially if they are comfortable around dogs. Due to my breed, a single-family home with a fenced yard would be ideal. Kinda like when I was in the shelter, Im just waiting for my perfect family. Is that you? . If you're looking for a middle-aged gal who is well past her crazy puppy stage and yet has great energy and LOTs of love to give, then look no further! Ready to pick me?!? If so, please complete an adoption application and our journey begins. Love,Maggie Maggieis located in our foster home in Aurora. Story
Hi! My name is Ahsoka and Im a 1-year-old purebred Siberian Husky. I currently weigh 46 pounds, and could stand to gain a few more.   As a puppy, I was found in the woods of Kentucky by animal control. There were local backyard breeders dumping puppies like me in the woods if we didnt sell fast enough. The shelter asked for help, and TAR helped me.   Now, I'm a year and and Im in a foster home that has other dogs, and I LOVE to play with other dogs who are about my size. There are 3 other girl dogs at my foster home, and we are besties running and playing and acting like dogs. I do like to play in the mud, but what youngster doesnt? When we had those really heavy rains a while back, I loved it! Sooo many puddles to splash in! I came in covered in muddy water and needed a bath. My foster mom just had to laugh.   Now, there are also cats in my foster home, and I chase them. I havent hurt a cat, but my new home should not have any cats.   I am very gentle with kids, and would do well with an active family with kids. (Huskies love to herd kids, especially in the snow!) I take food very nicely and gently. Much like my Star Wars namesake, I am well trained! I am great on a leash. and Im also house trained as well as crate trained. All you have to say is "Ahsoka go kennel" and I go right in my crate.   If you know the husky breed, you might have heard that we can be jumpers, but NOT me. I havent even tried to jumped the fence at my foster moms house. Due to my breed, a single-family home with a fenced yard would be best for me, though.   The other thing about huskies, is that were vocal we like to talk! However, I am quiet MOST of the time. I'll howl or talk to my foster mom when I want something. I talk a lot while waiting my turn for breakfast!   I really like car rides, but my foster mom say I have to be tethered because I like to look out all the windows and she says thats not safe while shes driving. Also, huskies do shed and if you need help learning to groom me, Im REALLY good at the groomer. I sat nicely and loved being brushed. The groomer said I was the best behaved husky shes ever groomed!   So, if you are looking for a medium sized family dog who will talk to you and give you a reason to be outside, then I am your gal. Maybe we can even watch Star Wars together!   Complete an application and Ill hop in the car to come over and show you how I talk! And if its raining, itll be even better.   xoxo, Ahsoka Ahsoka i is located in our foster home in Aurora.
