Zoey is a sweet, loving, and playful husky. She loves affection and belly rubs. She truly will be your best friend! Zoey does need an owner with a securely fenced in yard. Huskies love to be adventurous!Zoey cannot be with other small pets such as chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs etc. Huskies typically have a high instinct for small prey. Zoey does like to guard her food sometimes. Just needs a little more food training.Zoey is the sweetest husky. She has always shown us so much love. We are going to miss her so much, but unfortunately we don’t have the proper fence in our yard for her to stay safe.We want Zoey to be with a loving family who will spoil her with love and affection, because she truly deserves it.

Story
Kenai is a high-energy and treat-motivated dog. We believe him to be husky mixed with rottweiler. Kenai means well but is very mischievous. He needs a lot of engagement or he gets bored/naughty. Kenai loves laying in the snow. He cuddles but gets hot and leaves after a bit. He is a BIG jumper. He loves cheese. He has a squeamish tummy though, so human food does not sit well with him. Kenai is six years old. The reason we are looking for a new home for him is because as our family grows with babies and children, Kenai has shown aggressive behavior towards little ones. Also Kenai DOES NOT get along with cats. Other dogs are a hit or miss. He plays well with some dogs and gets defensive with other ones. We are not sure why that is. He is a humper but is neutered. The ideal home for Kenai would be someone looking for an adventure buddy to spoil. He would do best as an only pet but may get along with other dogs if he meets them/gets used to them. Can try to do playdates if interested.

🩵 Player Spotlight: Wendy 🩵 Wendy’s story began when she was found on March 14 as one of 24 dogs living in an abandoned shop in Houston. She arrived at Ruff Draft on April 15 shy, uncertain, and overwhelmed by a world that was completely new to her. But over the last 5 months we’ve gotten to know the wonderfully weird, sweet and hilarious girl hiding underneath that uncertainty. 💦 Wendy LOVES water. Give this girl a kiddie pool and she’ll jump in, dunk herself completely underwater, roll around and live her absolute best life. 🫧 She recently discovered bubbles and has decided her new personal mission is catching every single one with her mouth. 🏅 She’s also quite the crate engineer. Wendy figured out that if she launches herself from one end of her crate to the other, she can actually scoot it across the floor until she reaches whatever has caught her attention. 😂 We HIGHLY recommend a sturdy crate without wheels for this girl! With frequent potty breaks, Wendy keeps her crate clean. She’s still a little shy when meeting someone new, but she warms up quickly and does wonderfully with kids of all ages, adults, and dogs of all sizes. And yes… she’s a Husky. She absolutely has opinions and will make sure you hear them when she’s displeased. Thankfully, she’s otherwise a pretty easygoing pup. Wendy has spent 156 days learning that people can be kind, pools are amazing, bubbles are meant to be eaten, and apparently crates can double as transportation. Now she needs to learn one more thing: What it feels like to finally go home. After 5 months, we think it’s Wendy’s turn to hear… “Congratulations, Wendy. You’ve been drafted onto your forever team.” 🩵🐾 Dogs First. Always.

This is Jack, and he deserves a home where he can truly thrive. I've had Jack since he was a puppy, and making the decision to find him a new home has been one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. Unfortunately, my life has changed significantly over the past few years. We now live in a one-bedroom apartment, and my work schedule has become increasingly demanding. As much as I love him, I know I'm no longer able to give him the time, attention, and lifestyle he deserves. Jack is an incredibly sweet, laid-back, and loyal companion. He's 11 years old, well past the puppy stage, and is happiest simply being with his people—whether that's relaxing on the couch, going for a walk, or just hanging out nearby. He absolutely loves people and enjoys meeting new friends. He is not used to other dogs or cats, but loves people!
