Story
Meet Andy, Andy is a sweet, goofy husky puppy who is down for a good floor nap after he’s had his exercise, and he’ll be sure to remind you when he needs that exercise with a little love nibble on your leg. He’s calmest when he’s near his people and will happily hang out around you without being velcro. He has a fun, vocal personality during play, but he’s still learning that play doesn’t include nipping. He’s very much a puppy and is learning everything from scratch, so he’ll need a home that’s ready for that stage. Andy has a slightly sensitive, thoughtful temperament, especially with new challenges like going down stairs. He sometimes likes to “think about it” before following through and is very treat-motivated. Like many huskies, he appreciates knowing what’s in it for him. With consistency, he continues to build confidence. He has a medium-to-high energy level and will need consistent daily exercise and mental stimulation as he grows. Walks, training, and enrichment will be important, along with a balanced routine that includes rest. If you’re considering Andy, it’s important to think about what that exercise will look like year-round, including winter, which he loves. Andy is smart and trainable and responds well to calm, positive, consistent guidance (and treats). He’s working on sit (pretty solid), down (improving), heel (does well with consistent reinforcement), and come (in progress). He’s also very enthusiastic about mealtime and is learning to sit and settle before eating. Crate training is still a work in progress. Andy can be vocal when settling and may take some time to calm down, though he is improving. When given the option, he will often choose to nap in his crate on his own with the door open. Potty training is also in progress. He does best with a structured schedule and close supervision and does not yet consistently signal when he needs to go out. Like many puppies his age, Andy is mouthy and can bite during play, including grabbing pants or legs. This is typical puppy behavior but will require consistent redirection and supervision, especially around children. Andy is very curious about cats and wants to engage and play. He has been corrected by a cat and continues to show interest. He is not aggressive, but he does not yet understand boundaries and will need slow introductions and supervision in a home with cats. He can go up stairs without any problem and has learned to go down short staircases (three steps or fewer). He is still uncomfortable with longer staircases and may need to be carried for now. This appears to be a confidence issue and should improve with patience and practice. Andy also has a small quirk where his eyes may flick briefly when he’s focusing upward - usually just a couple quick movements before he locks in. This has been consistent since he arrived, has not worsened, and has been evaluated by veterinarians. It does not affect his balance or movement. Andy will do best in a home that is prepared for the reality of life with a Husky - one with the time, patience, and consistency to continue his training and make sure he gets the physical and mental activity his breed needs. All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Hi! I’m Beau! 🐾I’m a sweet young pup weighing about 35 lbs, who made quite the journey to get here, but I finally made my way to Minnesota, where I’m now living in a foster home.I’m a happy, playful boy who loves toys and playing with other dogs. Since I’m still a puppy, I’m not house trained yet and I’m not so sure about the kennel, but I’m ready to learn with a patient family... what can I say? This is all so new to me! After everything I’ve been through, I’m just hoping to find a forever home full of love and playtime. Could that be with you? 💙--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi, my name is Pop! I sweet pup weighing in at 43 pounds, and bursting with joyful enthusiasm!I'm just starting to discover the world outside my home, and am easily intimidated, but I sure am curious!I'm doing great with potty training if you keep me on a schedule, and make it through the night in my crate. I am really good with the command "sit", pretty good at "off", and working on "leave it" and "drop it". I often get so excited it's hard not to jump up and say hi and give kisses, but I'm working on it. I'm starting to enjoy walks. There's just SO much to smell and see that I have to be encouraged to keep moving forward, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm finding my voice and experimenting with letting my humans know about different things with my bark.I love treats of every kind and am highly food motivated. Its so fun to figure out how to get the treats out of my kong toys! I love all the toys, but especially things that squeak or I can play tug with!Even though I'm pretty frisky, I sure do love a snuggle with my humans, or a nice belly rub!I'm just waiting for the right family to come along, who can appreciate my exuberant spirit, and help mold me into the perfect fit for your family! I'm ready to POP into your life and change it forever with my abundant love! Can't wait to meet you!POP--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi there… I’m Iris. I’m 1.5 years old, I have these big bright blue eyes everyone keeps talking about, and I’m really hoping they help me find the human I’ve been dreaming about.I’ll be honest — I’m a little shy with new people. Meeting someone for the first time makes my heart do nervous tap-dancing. But if you give me a little time, I promise I’ll show you my softer, sillier side. Once I trust you, I love being close… like “you’re my comfort human now” close. Now, if you have another dog? Oh boy.Dogs are my jam. They make me brave, happy, and zoomie-powered. I’d love a dog friend who can show me the ropes and maybe join me in some daily “run like the wind” sessions. Here’s what I think you might like about me:🐾 I’m great on a leash, so walks with me are easy🐾 I’m totally housebroken — really trying my best!🐾 I love zoomies and running with my foster siblings — it’s my favoriteI’m looking for a patient, gentle human who will let me warm up at my own pace… and maybe admire my blue eyes once in a while. In return, I’ll be your loyal companion, your soft shadow, and your goofy playmate once I feel safe.If you think we could be a good match, I’d really love to meet you.Maybe you’ll be the one who helps me bloom. 💙🐾--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi… I’m Cammie. I’m 2 years old, about 38 pounds, and I’ve been told I’m a Husky mix—but mostly I’m just… me. And if you give me a few minutes, I think I might just steal your heart.I love my humans. Like, really love them. Being close to you is my favorite thing in the world. If you sit down, I’ll be there. If you walk away, I’ll watch you go and hope you come back soon. I have a little confession though… sometimes when I’m alone, I get a bit worried. I just bond so deeply that being apart can feel a little scary. But I’m working on it every day, and with patience and reassurance, I’m getting braver. I promise. The good news? I’m already a pretty awesome roommate. I’m potty trained, I sleep quietly in my crate at night, and I know a bunch of commands—sit, stay, bed, out, and potty. I try really hard to be a good girl.I’m also pretty smart (if I do say so myself). Sometimes I’ll surprise you—like bringing you my bowl when I think it’s mealtime, or sitting there with my leash at my paws giving you the look until you get the hint. What can I say? I’ve got skills.I like other dogs too! Having a dog friend could be really nice for me—especially one who can help me keep building my confidence and show me the ropes. What I really need is someone patient, someone who understands that I might need a little extra reassurance sometimes. But if you can give me that, I’ll give you everything I have. I’ll be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, your loyal best friend.I’ll love you with my whole heart. Always. 🐾--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
