I sweet pup weighing in at 43 pounds, and bursting with joyful enthusiasm!I'm just starting to discover the world outside my home, and am easily intimidated, but I sure am curious!I'm doing great with potty training if you keep me on a schedule, and make it through the night in my crate. I am really good with the command "sit", pretty good at "off", and working on "leave it" and "drop it". I often get so excited it's hard not to jump up and say hi and give kisses, but I'm working on it. I'm starting to enjoy walks. There's just SO much to smell and see that I have to be encouraged to keep moving forward, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm finding my voice and experimenting with letting my humans know about different things with my bark.I love treats of every kind and am highly food motivated. Its so fun to figure out how to get the treats out of my kong toys! I love all the toys, but especially things that squeak or I can play tug with!Even though I'm pretty frisky, I sure do love a snuggle with my humans, or a nice belly rub!I'm just waiting for the right family to come along, who can appreciate my exuberant spirit, and help mold me into the perfect fit for your family! I am a playful, spunky and snuggly girl looking for my furever family. I've been so loved in foster homes since I was a puppy, but I know my family is out there!!I currently live in a condo with my foster mom and cat friends, but I have also lived in a house with a foster dad, mom, teenagers and other dogs with a fenced in yard. I have done well with the little kids I have met that are respectful of me. I take a little time to warm up, but not too long! Once I get to know you, I'm your best buddy. I am house trained and do well on leash or freely in the backyard. I am crate trained. I can sleep in my crate at night and when I'm home alone. I go in happily with a treat and love my cozy bed. I also love to sleep in bed with my foster mom though! I'm a great napper, super snuggly and love to give kisses! I'm just the right size too; not too big and not too small!I do bark at new things or in new situations, but I am a good listener and am corrected easily. I’m now 3½ years old, and my family calls me “Happy Slappy Tail” because my tail is almost always wagging!I’m a sweet, mellow boy who loves car rides, going for walks, and curling up for cuddles. My people tell me I’m the best boy all the time, and I think they’re onto something! I love being with my humans and am happiest when I’m part of whatever you’re doing.Because life threw my family some unexpected challenges, I didn’t get as much exercise as I needed, so I’m carrying a few extra pounds. My vet says more walks, playtime, and maybe even a canine buddy would help me get back to a healthier weight—and I think that sounds like fun!I’m looking for a new home because sadly my best friend/dad passed away and my mom can no longer handle a big, strong guy like me. I do well on walks with someone who can manage my size, and with a little consistency, I’ll make a wonderful walking companion.I also have epilepsy, but it’s well managed with medication. I happily take my medicine mixed into my dog food (I’m pretty good at finding pills, so the liquid works best for me!). During a seizure, I’m a little out of it but luckily it only last a couple of minutes. Before long I’m right back to being my happy, cuddly, tail-wagging self.People always compliment my beautiful eyes and adorable freckles, but I hope you’ll fall in love with my gentle heart just as much. Meet Blue-This handsome boy is a sweetheart who just wants to find his forever home. Blue's family had to move overseas and he could not go. It was a little tough on him at first but now he is thriving and just so awesome! Blue is happy, playful, enjoys being with you and a quick learner. Blue is playful with other dogs and walks well on a leash. He loves other dogs and loves romping and playing with squeaky toys. Blue loves his people and enjoys following you around making sure all is well! But if he is not aloowed/invited he respects and learns quickly.
