Story
**Toms' adoption fee has been partially sponsored by a generous sponsor**Hi! My name is Toms, and I was adopted from Warrior Rescue when I was just a puppy. I’m now 3½ years old, and my family calls me “Happy Slappy Tail” because my tail is almost always wagging!I’m a sweet, mellow boy who loves car rides, going for walks, and curling up for cuddles. My people tell me I’m the best boy all the time, and I think they’re onto something! I love being with my humans and am happiest when I’m part of whatever you’re doing.Because life threw my family some unexpected challenges, I didn’t get as much exercise as I needed, so I’m carrying a few extra pounds. My vet says more walks, playtime, and maybe even a canine buddy would help me get back to a healthier weight—and I think that sounds like fun!I’m looking for a new home because sadly my best friend/dad passed away and my mom can no longer handle a big, strong guy like me. I do well on walks with someone who can manage my size, and with a little consistency, I’ll make a wonderful walking companion.I also have epilepsy, but it’s well managed with medication. I happily take my medicine mixed into my dog food (I’m pretty good at finding pills, so the liquid works best for me!). During a seizure, I’m a little out of it but luckily it only last a couple of minutes. Before long I’m right back to being my happy, cuddly, tail-wagging self.People always compliment my beautiful eyes and adorable freckles, but I hope you’ll fall in love with my gentle heart just as much. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a wagging tail, lots of love to give, and plenty of cuddles to share, I just might be your perfect match.I can’t wait to meet you! With love,Toms 🐾--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $200To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
