Story
Meet Loba!Loba is a happy and independent dog with a strong leadership personality! She loves going for walks, playing with other dogs, and bathing in the sun.Loba would thrive in a home with a patio where she can relax and soak up the sun. She needs an owner who enjoys walks and would love a home with other dogs to keep her company.Though she was once fearful and abandoned, Loba has grown into a confident and strong willed dog who knows what she wants. She can be a bit restless and independent, and she enjoys being the leader of the pack. Loba is well trained in basic commands (sit, stay, come), but she still needs some work on walking together and other advanced tricks. She is not suited for homes with cats, inactive owners, or apartments. If you are looking for an active dog and you have experience with strong will dogs she is your perfect match. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
MEET BASS & TENOR! This happy and loving duo has waited much too long for a home but we can't split them up. They are a loving, fun pair of playful dogs who need a foster or forever home! They are very affectionate toward people, and love, love, love each other. They are likely brothers, who found themselves at a crowded California shelter with no adoption interest. Fortunately they were rescued but still haven't found a home yet. They must be adopted together as they are extremely bonded. Both are almost 8 years old. Bass, the brown-and-white pup, weighs only 55 lbs., and Tenor (tan and white) weighs about 60 lbs. They are fun, active pups who love to run, play and snuggle with each other. They would love to be adopted by someone who could take them on hikes, walks and other outings. They currently play with each other for entertainment but it'd be great for them to branch out and see the world. Bass & Tenor love to jump up and give kisses. They are not super friendly with other dogs, so should be the only dogs in the home - but they have plenty of love to give and will be grateful to whomever adopts them. If you can foster or adopt Bass & Tenor, please email for an application. They are currently in Southern California but can be transported to Washington.

Story
HI - I'M IVY! I'm a 5-year-old Siberian Husky girl, currently in the Greater Seattle area. I'm a sweet soul, always ready to share my warmth with you. I'm pretty smart too, I've been told. I love exploring, sniffing out new things. I'm also quite independent, content to entertain myself, but I do love humans. Your company will be my favorite pastime. I'm mellow for a husky, and easy to have around. And I'm cuddly. I love a good snuggle! My curiosity keeps life interesting, and my gentleness makes me a great companion. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I had a kennel mate. But I can be a bit of an alpha girl, so my canine companion would need to be pretty special and understanding of my bossy girl ways. I truly am a people dog, and will be your shadow and welcome you home with a smile and a wag. I'm still very active and would love to go on some long walks or hikes. I weigh about 55 lbs. Please email for an application and additional photos.

Story
Meet Denali! Denali is a wonderful 12 month old Husky mix pup. He is medium in size at around 35 lbs and is a wonderful boy.  He is a calm and manageable puppy - he loves to chase (flirt pole) and tug and wrestle, and is learning fetch. Denali LOVES WATER! He is curious, loves to sniff anything he sees, and can be cautious with initial introductions but warms up quickly. He is flexible, playful, well mannered, potty trained, and affectionate! Denali is in the puppy mouthing phase but is redirected easily and loves a good long chew session. Very treat motivated and we are building handler engagement, but he will also happily self-entertain with chews and toys. After his morning play/walk/train and breakfast he usually takes a long nap.   Denali is potty trained and is in the process of learning crate training. He is very attentive and trainable!  Denali is very excited by cats and can be very enthusiastic about meeting them. With a patient cat, he would thrive, but while he is learning about boundaries should not be left alone with cats. He is great with other dogs. Denali is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. His adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
