Hi, I’m Church! But honestly… they should’ve named me Olaf or Puddles, because I melt the second you rub my soft jowls 🫠💖. I’m about 5 years young, around 80 lbs of pure love, and a big ol’ cuddlebug who just wants to be told I'm a good boy (because I am, obviously). I'm neutered, microchipped, and fully vaxxed — ready to find my forever home! I’m a water-loving goofball who thinks baby pools, buckets, and even fish tanks are the best thing since peanut butter. I enjoy gentle walks (I don’t pull!) and then I’m all about couch cuddles, bed snuggles, or rearranging the dog beds like I’m on HGTV. Got a cat? Cool! I take hints from bossy kitties and I’m learning my manners. I love my people deeply and will follow you to the ends of the earth… or at least to the bathroom. I'm a lover, not a fighter — though I do have a big bark that'll make the Amazon guy hesitate. I get along great with the ladies (dogs, that is), but need slow intros with new humans and pups. Quick movements make me flinch, so teens and up are best for me. I know sit and come, and I’m learning stay — but most of all, I’m learning how to trust and be someone's heart dog 🐾. Criss’s Rescue Story Criss’s mom, Christmas, was owned by irresponsible and mean owners. His mom was not spayed and had a litter of six puppies. Poor Christmas didn’t even get food regularly. The founder of an international rescue organization got a rescue message to save Christmas and her puppies. When the founder arrived at the site, she saw how poorly they were treated. There was no food and water. Christmas was all skin and bone. She quickly persuaded her owners to surrender Christmas and all her puppies to her. The owner insisted that they would like to keep one of the puppies to guard their property. The rescue insisted that they should not ever have dogs since they don’t care for them. Christmas and her puppies were rushed to the vet for a thorough medical checkup. Criss has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests.
