Story
Take a look inside those big, dreamy eyes - they’re saying, “Yes, human, we should stay here on the couch and watch another episode! And grab me a snack!” Sweet and snuggly, gentle giant Finnegan is 95 pounds. He loves to lounge around, but also enjoys long walks in between his breaks. He's working on his leash manners, and he's always looking for his next snack (he knows he’s tall - so watch your counters!) He’s happiest at meal times, and making good progress towards being house-trained and has had only a few accidents on the way. We’re still learning how he gets along with other dogs, but he has shown he can be as chill with other dogs as he is with humans. He’s done well in his crate while his fosters are out, but in Finnegan’s perfect world he’d just get to snack on the couch with a family to snuggle up to. (AM)

Story
Brighton is a lovable, high-energy 60-pound boy who lives for people and attention. Smart and eager to please, he thrives on human connection and will happily throw himself at your feet for hugs and rubs. He’d do best with an active person or family — he loves to sprint and would make a great running buddy. He is house-trained, learns new tricks quickly and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement. He is currently working on leash training with his foster and is excited to meet other dogs but remains calm when other dogs are overly loud or excited. He is also gentle and respectful with kids. Brighton experiences some separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone in his crate, so someone who is patient and willing to help him build confidence and independence would be best. Are you looking for an affectionate, energetic companion who will shower you with love, keep you active, and be your biggest fan? Fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (MH)

Story
I got Odin in Sacramento from a dog breeder in 2021 when he was a puppy. Meaning he'll be turning 5 years old soon. Since then he's been a completely indoor dog who loves lots of exercise and play, with a big personality. He's great with other dogs and enjoys kids, he's just big and strong so he doesn't always know his own strength. He's completely house trained and will always tell you when he needs to go outside. Very much enjoys cuddles and belly rubs. He's not big on long car rides and has some separation anxiety. I've been struggling with keeping a consistent work schedule and may need to relocate for more opportunity. This has made keeping Odin difficult. I also want him to have an active and loving family to take care of him. He's a pack dog and would thrive with a family. I've fed him a healthy and balanced diet that includes boiled chicken, variety of rice, salmon, fruits, and veggies, along with a helping of kibble. He's up-to-date with all vaccines and in good health.

Story
NAME: CRISS GENDER: MALE BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX COLOR: CHOCOLATE AGE: 9 MONTHS OLD WEIGHT: 32lbs SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes MICROCHIP: Yes If you would like to give CRISS by a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos. Criss is a sweet and playful boy! He is friendly with people and is good with other dogs. He is doing well in his foster home and ready for a forever home. Criss started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining. He rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands. Criss is a wonderful boy and will make a good family dog. Criss’s Rescue Story Criss’s mom, Christmas, was owned by irresponsible and mean owners. His mom was not spayed and had a litter of six puppies. Poor Christmas didn’t even get food regularly. The founder of an international rescue organization got a rescue message to save Christmas and her puppies. When the founder arrived at the site, she saw how poorly they were treated. There was no food and water. Christmas was all skin and bone. She quickly persuaded her owners to surrender Christmas and all her puppies to her. The owner insisted that they would like to keep one of the puppies to guard their property. The rescue insisted that they should not ever have dogs since they don’t care for them. Christmas and her puppies were rushed to the vet for a thorough medical checkup. Criss has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Please give Criss a loving home he very much deserves. Story
We are looking for a loving home for our 16-month-old German Shepherd/Husky mix, Obi (DNA results available). He is fully vaccinated, potty trained, and comes with all medical records. He is microchipped (not yet activated). We have had Obi since he was a few months old. He has grown up with our four children (ages 16, 12, 7, and 3). Sadly, our children have developed serious dog allergies, making rehoming necessary. Obi is very friendly, affectionate, great with kids and other animals, and loves hugs. He sometimes jumps up to show love. He enjoys running and playing fetch and would do best in a home with a backyard and space to play. We are looking for a safe, loving home where he will be treated as family. A small rehoming fee may apply. Please message if interested.
