Take a look inside those big, dreamy eyes - they’re saying, “Yes, human, we should stay here on the couch and watch another episode! And grab me a snack!” Sweet and snuggly, gentle giant Finnegan is 95 pounds. He loves to lounge around, but also enjoys long walks in between his breaks. He's working on his leash manners, and he's always looking for his next snack (he knows he’s tall - so watch your counters!) He’s happiest at meal times, and making good progress towards being house-trained and has had only a few accidents on the way. We’re still learning how he gets along with other dogs, but he has shown he can be as chill with other dogs as he is with humans. He’s done well in his crate while his fosters are out, but in Finnegan’s perfect world he’d just get to snack on the couch with a family to snuggle up to. (AM)

She is known for her feisty streak, likely thanks to keeping up with her mischievous foster brother who steals all her toys. She also has an adorable seal like bark that never fails to make people laugh. Zelda will need consistent training, continued socialization, and plenty of exercise and mental enrichment to help her grow into a well-mannered adult. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:6Baobao – Gentle, Graceful, and Quietly Affectionate Baobao is a female Labrador Retriever mix, just over 1 year old and about 56 pounds. She has a mellow, thoughtful nature and great leash manners, making her a lovely walking companion. Wonderful on leash: Baobao walks with only very mild pulling, staying calm and relaxed even when other dogs pass by. Quietly affectionate: She may seem a little independent initially, but would increase her friendly “drive-by” greetings as she gets to know you. Polite learner: Baobao takes treats gently and responds to “sit.” With people she trusts, she’ll even sweetly offer her “paw.” Curious explorer: She enjoys sniffing and calmly exploring her surroundings. Dog social: Baobao plays nicely in doggie playgroup and enjoys a friendly game of chase with other dogs. Baobao would do well in a multi-dog home or as a solo dog with social canine friends.
