Meet Raj! Raj is a sweet, curious cattle dog puppy who loves being your shadow. According to Raj`s foster, he’s happiest when he’s right by your side, whether you’re going for a walk, relaxing at home, or just going about your day. He’s a great little walker who sits patiently for his harness and enjoys exploring everything around him. He’s playful, smart, and learning his manners quickly. He loves praise, belly rubs, toys, and, of course, the occasional cheese tax! Raj has a wonderfully goofy and curious personality. He loves looking out windows, investigating places he probably shouldn’t be, and bringing his favorite toy back for another round of play. He’s affectionate but also appreciates having his own space when he needs it. He’s been friendly and polite with new people and has done well around other dogs. He can be a little startled by sudden noises and may get distracted by exciting things like squirrels, so he’ll benefit from a family who can continue helping him learn and grow. At the end of the day, Raj is just a sweet puppy who wants to be loved, included, and close to his person. He’s sure to keep you smiling with his silly antics, gentle kisses, and big puppy personality. Raj is currently in a foster home, so please contact Hayward Animal Services at animal.services@hayward-ca.gov or 510.293.7200 to schedule an appointment to meet him.

Milo is a beautiful 42 lb border collie mix. Typical for a herding type dog, Milo has a lot of energy and is very intelligent. His foster family describes him as very sweet, goofy, active, and energetic. Milo loves to play games of all kinds, and especially loves playing fetch. Milo is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is friendly with other dogs. He has not been cat tested. With his foster family, Milo does well with 2-4 hours of exercise daily. Typical for his breed type, Milo has shown some herding behaviors and can sometimes be protective of his space, his people, and his things. For these reasons, Milo would do best in a home without small children. Milo needs a family that can provide him with plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation. Herding breed experience or experience with other high drive dogs is strongly encouraged.

Sophie is a sweet, gentle, and friendly Border Collie mix who also happens to be a tripod. At about 1–2 years old and 42 pounds, Sophie has a lot of love to give. Sophie’s journey hasn’t been easy. Her right front paw was caught in a coyote trap, and despite the shelter’s best efforts, the injury was so severe that her leg could not be saved. Sophie recovered beautifully from surgery and adapted remarkably well to life on three legs. Even so, she spent two long months waiting at the shelter for someone to give her a chance. Thankfully, Sophie is now enjoying life in a wonderful foster home, and she’s making the most of every day! Watching her run and play in the yard with the resident dog, you might hardly notice she’s missing a leg. She can be surprisingly fast! Although she wouldn’t be your choice for a jogging partner, she loves her daily walks to the local park, where she has made lots of human and canine friends. Sophie is also a wonderful houseguest. She’s housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and has mastered the doggie door. She enjoys playing with toys and even seems to like watching TV! Car rides are no problem, either. But Sophie’s favorite thing may be spending time with people. This affectionate girl loves everyone she meets. She’ll happily sit for pets and roll right over for a good belly rub. And when it comes to treats? Sophie is very food-motivated and takes them ever so gently. What more could you ask for? Sophie has overcome a difficult start in life and is ready for her next chapter—a loving forever home where she can be cherished for the wonderful dog she is. She may have only three legs, but she has a whole lot of heart! Rania is a very cute and energetic 1-year old mini Border Collie. She may be small in size, but she is fearless. We call her the Diva of the foster home. She is also very affectionate, friendly and playful. There is never a dull moment with Rania around. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is about 15 pounds, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes and loves to be around people as well. Rania does need lots of stimulation for her energy level, but she does have her moments were she is relaxed and just wants to spend time on the bed or couch sitting by your side. She is ready to be in a loving forever home where she will be the center of attention.

Adopt Cedar This Handsome boy has been looking for a home for quite sometime. He was rescued at just 4 months old back in April 2024. All of his siblings found loving homes already. Cedar took some time to open up but Cedar loves the outdoors now! He is shy but playful, great with other pups, curious, and smart (taught himself the dog door on his own), food motivated which is a bonus for training! He’s crate trained, potty trained and just a stunning hound mix who was kill-listed and a true survivor! Cedar is ready for patience and love. He sleeps through the night and is learning to trust humans more and more everyday. Originally he is from the Coachella Valley, Animal Shelter and saved on Easter Sunday. ?We are very thankful for everyone that has helped all the siblings! ? With a total of eight fearful puppies who had nowhere to go. Now they have all one by one come out of their shells at their own time. We would love for Cedar to find a home where he could relax and decompress. These puppies definitely needed love and patience, and they are opening up a little by little. Adopt Bowser JR! Bowser joined our pack from the Modesto animal shelter at just 5 weeks old. Now he is the last of the litter left and around 9 months old. He was found with his mama and siblings in Modesto ca. Bowsers face had injuries and so did all the other siblings. Even though he had an injury to his face he is still as cute as can be. Bowser is around 9 months old now, neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Bowser Jr - LOVES TOYS. His favorite toys are tennis balls! Will do anything for a treat. Likes to goof around all day and discover new taste. He is an extremely loyal dog. Loves to be around people he already knows.
