Story
Zoey is an enthusiastically friendly four year old medium sized dog who is likely some kind of terrier mix. She's not shy at all with new people and is very energetic- she doesn't necessarily need someone very experienced with dogs but does need someone who can regularly exercise her more strenuously than simple walks. She seems to understand the concept of fetch and loves playing with toys. She gets along with the two dogs she currently lives with but it is unknown how well she would interact with cats. She's very cuddly and loves attention! Her human passed away and had no known relatives so she needs a new forever home. She's very attentive to the humans around her and seems to be constantly looking for a job to do so she would probably do well with agility training or as a running buddy or farm/ranch companion. We are helping Zoey's current guardian to rehome her. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. If you have specific questions please send them through and we will put you in touch with her current guardian.August 20, 2026, 12:47 am

* Hi, I'm Arlo! Story
Milo is a beautiful 42 lb border collie mix. Typical for a herding type dog, Milo has a lot of energy and is very intelligent. His foster family describes him as very sweet, goofy, active, and energetic. Milo loves to play games of all kinds, and especially loves playing fetch. Milo is crate trained, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is friendly with other dogs. He has not been cat tested. With his foster family, Milo does well with 2-4 hours of exercise daily. Typical for his breed type, Milo has shown some herding behaviors and can sometimes be protective of his space, his people, and his things. For these reasons, Milo would do best in a home without small children. Milo needs a family that can provide him with plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation. Herding breed experience or experience with other high drive dogs is strongly encouraged.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:4Cassio – Wiggly, Affectionate, and Full of Charm Cassio is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix weighing 41 pounds with a delightful waggy personality and a big love for human attention. Enthusiastic buddy: Cassio may pull excitedly at the start of walks, but is easy to handle due his manageable size. He loves interacting with his human while showing off his ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘spin’.  Extra affectionate: It doesn’t take long for Cassio to hop up with his front paws on your legs, gazing up for attention and possibly sneaking in a quick face lick. He also loves leaning against people or stretching out across a lap for butt scratches. Playful and easygoing: Cassio can happily entertain himself with a plush toy and enjoys gentle play with other dogs in doggie playgroup. Social sweetheart: His waggy, people-loving personality shines through in nearly every interaction, making him a fun and affectionate companion. Cassio would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Oakland Animal Services (OAS) (@oaklandanimalservices) August 22, 2026, 4:39 pm

Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##

Story
Adopt Cedar This Handsome boy has been looking for a home for quite sometime. He was rescued at just 4 months old back in April 2024. All of his siblings found loving homes already. Cedar took some time to open up but Cedar loves the outdoors now! He is shy but playful, great with other pups, curious, and smart (taught himself the dog door on his own), food motivated which is a bonus for training! He’s crate trained, potty trained and just a stunning hound mix who was kill-listed and a true survivor! Cedar is ready for patience and love. He sleeps through the night and is learning to trust humans more and more everyday. Originally he is from the Coachella Valley, Animal Shelter and saved on Easter Sunday. ?We are very thankful for everyone that has helped all the siblings! ? With a total of eight fearful puppies who had nowhere to go. Now they have all one by one come out of their shells at their own time. We would love for Cedar to find a home where he could relax and decompress. These puppies definitely needed love and patience, and they are opening up a little by little. Cedar is one and a half years old and most likely a cattle mix dog who is, great at running and loves dogs! He is located in San Diego California.March 8, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Penny needs your help. In foster care but will be surrendered due to family health emergency.She has been an inside dog but is not crate trained. She knows a few basic commands like: sit, down, come, food, treat. She is potty trained to go outside. She could use additional training and animal socialization. She’s a strong leash puller and is triggered by most small animals. She is also selective with people. Building and maintaining a relationship with Penny will require patience and possibly behavioral therapy. She is also triggered by people on bikes/scooters. We as a foster home did not use training methods that require pronged collars, e-collars or anything that would possibly harm Penny both physically and psychologically. Penny would love a home where she can be someone’s center of attention. Pit/Cattle mix - 3.5 yrs. - 48lbs - SpayedIn-foster care now
