Sundae does have a high prey drive and may not do well in a home with cats and is looking for a home without other small, fast animals. Sundae is on the shy side and working on gaining her confidence, she will likely do best in a quiet home with just dog-experienced teens and adults. Quarry is one of five young Aussie pups we rescued from a puppy mill situation in Eastern WA. Like the others, he suffered porcupine quill injuries—but his were the worst we’ve ever seen. This poor boy even had quills down his throat. When we found him, Quarry was starving, in pain, and desperately pawing at his face to try to escape the agony. It broke our hearts. The good news? He’s been to the vet, the quills are gone, and he’s on the road to recovery. At the rescue kennel, he’s started taking food from our hands (pill pockets are his favorite!). But Quarry is still very shy—understandable after the trauma he’s endured. Now we need your help. Quarry needs a patient foster home with no cats, where he can finally leave the kennel behind, learn to trust again, and discover what it means to be safe and loved.
