Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application.

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Mister is a sweet little buddy, 5 years old, who loves to cuddle and to play with anyone. He does great with dogs that are his size and smaller. I think he’d be happiest with another dog to live with but I’d consider all options for him.Update 5/7/2026Thank you all for the applications. I’m planning to hold onto Mister for the time being but will most likely try to find a new home for him before November. Therefore, I may not reach out until we get closer to that date. Thank you.

🐾💛 MEET RHETT 💛🐾 Rhett is a classic Beagle through and through… which means yes, he has a voice, and he’s not afraid to use it! 🐶🎶 But behind that signature Beagle “talk” is an incredibly sweet, loving boy who just wants to be part of the family. 💛 Why you’ll love Rhett: ✨ Affectionate and gentle. ✨ Great with young kids, he’s been wonderful with a 3-year-old. ✨ Dog-friendly, previously lived happily with two large (70+ lb) Labs. ✨ Social, friendly, and enjoys being around his people. Rhett is the kind of dog who will keep you company, make you smile, and always let you know when he has something to say. If you love the personality and charm that comes with a Beagle, he’s your guy. 🏡 Ideal home: A family or individual who appreciates a talkative companion and wants a sweet, social dog to share life with. 💛 He’s not just looking for a home… he’s looking for his people.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi, I’m Tanbo… but my friends call me Snoop! I was adopted as a puppy and sadly found my way back to the rescue due to family circumstances. While that wasn’t the plan, I’m hoping my forever family is still out there waiting for me! I’m a very curious and inquisitive guy—I love to sniff around and investigate everything going on in my world. When I first came back to the rescue, stuffed toys were actually banned for me because I used to immediately shred them. The good news? I’ve improved! I can have them again now… although I’ll admit I still enjoy chewing on them and occasionally pulling some stuffing out. Old habits die hard. When it comes to playmates, I really enjoy dogs that are smaller than me—they’re my kind of crowd! Bigger dogs, though? I’d rather keep my distance. I also tend to chase cats, so a cat-free home would probably be best. I would also do best in a home without younger children, as I prefer a calmer environment where I can relax and feel comfortable. One of my favorite things in the world is treats and cuddling with my humans. If you have a blanket, just know it automatically becomes our blanket. In fact, if you see a lump under a blanket on the couch, you might want to check before sitting down… it could be me! Because I only have 21 teeth left, crunchy treats are a little tough for me to chew. Softer chews are my favorite! And since I’m missing a few teeth, my tongue hangs out about 95% of the time, which just adds to my charm. As a senior gentleman, I do have a couple medical conditions. I have Cushing’s disease and low B12, which means I’ll need medication for the rest of my life. I also take a little medicine for separation anxiety when my humans leave, but if you’re just gone for a few hours, I’ll handle it like a champ. What I’m really looking for is a cozy home, some soft treats, a warm blanket, and humans who love to cuddle as much as I do. If that sounds like you, I think we might be a perfect match.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. May 30, 2026, 9:53 am

Story
Jud came to Crossville from a shelter in West Tennessee. He is a reserved gentleman who will require a patient human to allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace though. He will most likely need time to acclimate to life inside a home. He has just entered a foster home with an experienced Beagle couple, so we will have more to report on him before long. Have you ever met a beagle that wasn't sweet and fun though?FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
