Story

Addie was adopted a couple of years ago. She is an about 2.5 years old. She was adopted into our home when we already had two cats and two young children. She is great with the kids but has never gotten along with the cats so that should be known by any potential adopter. She's a loving and high-energy dog that needs lots of attention and exercise to suit her active lifestyle. Either a fenced in yard (preferred) or a tie-out would be needed for Addie as she loves to run. Addie knows basic commands such as sit, place, down and off. We are now in a place where we're not able to give her as much attention as she needs (school, return to work, extracurriculars for the kiddos) and want to find her a home where she can get the love, attention and care she needs and deserves!

For all of his beagleness he doesn't do the beagle things such as having his nose to the ground for scent following. Not interested in typical beagle shenanigans, much more interested in being a spoiled pup cup drinking Prince :). Physical fence required. Dog selective. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This boy was brought in with his mom and siblings. She is a beagle/lab mix but we aren't sure about the dad. Bowie is a friendly, playful and happy pup! He likes people and has no issue with strangers. He gets along with other pups and has done well in a crate. He knows how to use a dog door but will need puppy training. He is a great boy ready for his new home.

She has done well in a crate and has gotten along with other dogs. She is housebroken with a dog door, not sure without. She loves a good couch with someone to hang with. We aren't sure about kids or if she knows many commands. She is ready to get herself a forever family!

Story

Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash.
