Lucy is a senior beagle terrier, approximately 12 years old. But full of life as if she were still 2 years old. She was adopted during a Black Friday deal at North Shore Animal League so we're not looking for an adoption fee. All we want for Lucy is to find a better home. She loves to be taken out for walks and rolling in the grass. She loves to sunbathe and can be pretty friendly with other dogs. She does not like cats but is very territorial with her caretakers. She is good with kids and she loves belly rubs. Overall, Lucy is a great dog. We just can't take care of her the way she needs and deserves. She is up to date with shots and rabies vaccinations and she was also just groomed on 5/21/24.

My person recently passed away, so I need a new person to love. I go on several walks a day and have been diagnosed with a thyroid condition for which I’m on meds. No biggie to take them! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shortcake (GA) is a female Beagle mix estimated to be 6 years old at the time of intake in July 2024. Shortcake is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Shortcake is good with people and other dogs. We don't know what Shortcake's life was like that landed her in a shelter suffering with some untreated medical issues. Fortunately, Shortcake was pulled out of the shelter so she could receive the medical care she required and when we received a request to provide that medical care to Shortcake, of course we said YES! Shortcake's medical issues have been treated and this adorable girl is ready to start her life over with her forever family. Shortcake is sweet (of course!). She is quite a chunky girl and is on a weight loss regimen. Her joints are a bit squeaky, but she's on an arthritis supplement as well.
