Story
I adopted Maisie from the Boulder Humane Society in November, 2021. She was 3-4 months old and had been picked up in New Mexico. She was on medication for anxiety and I was told she should be homed with another older dog and kept away from children. I live in a condo with a small deck area and I am very active outdoors so I thought that would be helpful to her anxiety. She exhibited aggressive behavior towards kids, cyclists and runners along trails so I took for to High Drive Training and we did the full training and advanced training and I was trained in how to use and ecollar. We also did Grumpy Growler Training through the Boulder Humane Society. She has gotten aggressive towards other dogs while she is on leash but off leash she is fine. She is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. When she is near children and they make sudden moves she does get aggressive. I am moving to be near my grand children so I need to rehome her to someone that has a yard and another dog hopefully.

Story
Lilly is such a good girl! She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever met. Lily has a good amount of energy but is also well trained. She is a fast runner but will not bolt away from you. She is one of the fastest dogs at the dog park. Lilly is loyal and very motivated to please. Since she was a puppy, we’ve had her with our family. We have three kids and another dog. She has never been aggressive. Shes a confident, goofy girl. For someone who is even moderately active, she would be extremely grateful to live with you. I can’t emphasize how sweet Lilly is. We love her and we want to make sure she goes to a great home. She’s kennel trained, and has never had an accident in the house after learning where to go. The only time she’s lived with Cats, she was very excited around them at first (the cats did not appreciate that. To be fair, she was like 16 weeks old). The cats trained her to respect them, but did not live with us for very long. Lily’s a great dog and needs her forever home.

Story
Border Collie lovers, come on down! You`ll be winning a real prize if you adopt Max! This thoughtful pup is oh so smart and with just a few kind words will quite literally melt down into your lap. Into the cheese pull craze? Well, Max will happily show you the dog version of that viral sensation. He adores running, of course, but also enjoys being next to his people and playing with toys. Max can be just a bit shy at first, but within minutes he`s working hard to become your bestie. We think slightly older kids may best suit him but bring the family down to see if they hit it off! He has the most beautiful feathers on his legs and under his neck and looks as majestic as a horse when running. If you want looks and brains, you can`t do better than this lovely boy!

Story
Brody is a handsome, fun-loving guy that has enthusiasm for every activity he`s involved in! He is looking for an active home with kids over the age of 10 that can participate in his training and care. Brody adores the company of other dogs and would love to find a home with a resident pup that he can pal around with. Brody spent a bit of his formative age in a shelter, so he`s still learning his manners and he`s looking forward to finding a family that wants to help him learn. If you`re a hiker, a runner, a camper, or just enjoy being outdoors and spoiling a dog rotten, Brody can`t wait to meet you!

Story
Cricket is a sweet, dainty 2.5yo girl. She’s very sweet and easy to care for. She’s very fast and loves playing fetch and would make a great agility dog. Cricket would be very happy living on a farm, or a big piece of land. She has lots of energy but is very easily entertained—all you need is 10 minutes, an open space, and a Chuck-it to make her happy. She loves playing with other dogs and is great with all kinds of pets. She has soulful eyes and often sits with her paws crossed and walks on paws that have a way of looking like high heels. Cricket is very smart; she knows basic commands and learns quickly. Cricket has a small hernia on her belly that the vet said will not require surgery. Cricket plays very well with cats and children, she is a good family dog. We often say that Cricket was born from a rainbow, and it’s true. She has a way of planting herself into your heart as soon as you meet her. Adopt Cricket, and watch your life get filled with energy, love, and laughter.

Story
Lady, cattledog mix, 5 yo, 60 lb, spayed femaleLady is thin long-legged cattledog mix with the cutest face and floppy ears. She is curious and fascinated by all kinds of things. Lady spent months and months in limbo in boarding and was happy to join our gang and have a choice of playmates.  She is young and active, and needs a fenced yard.  Lady finds it most comforting to lie down close to you especially if she can somehow lean into you. It is hard to understand how this gentle angel, still almost a puppy, could be abandoned. We so hope to find stable loving home for her. Adoption fee $325. Story
Meet Molly! This 2-year-old, 40-pound sweetheart is loving, affectionate, and ready to steal your heart. Molly's favorite things: belly and chest scratches (her love language!), long walks, car rides, and camping adventures. If she gently paws at your hand, that's just her polite way of requesting more tummy rubs — and she'll never say no to those. She's wonderful with kids and has great instincts about when to play and when to just relax with some quiet time. When her playful side comes out, she gets excited and a bit mouthy — all part of her enthusiasm for life. Molly loves a good game of fetch, though she's decided the "bring it back" part is optional — chasing tennis balls is the real fun. She also enjoys chewing on sticks and keeping tabs on the neighborhood wildlife. Squirrels, rabbits, and prairie dogs are basically her favorite entertainment, so a secure harness on walks helps her enjoy the show safely. And here's her signature move: Molly is a total chatterbox on walks! She loves "talking" to other dogs with some pretty dramatic vocalizations — it catches people off guard at first, but it's just her big, goofy way of saying hello. Ready to meet this one-of-a-kind girl? Apply at eapl.com. Adoption fee: $375.August 20, 2026, 7:45 pm
