True to her herding-dog roots, she is sharp as a tack and loves to stay active. She would make an amazing running or hiking partner and will thrive in a home that enjoys movement, training, and engaging her brilliant mind. Harissa is deeply loyal to her people and bonds quickly. She is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and does great with children. She is crate trained and is doing excellent with her potty training, especially for such a young pup. Because of her herding instincts, she is not a good match for a home with cats. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of working-dog drive and loving companion. She wants to learn, wants to please, and wants to be right by your side. Meet Sebastian! He is a 2 yr old male mixed breed that weighs 69lbs. He is a very handsome boy and when using dog scanner it stated he may have a mix of Border Collie, Besenji, and Bull Terrier. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/27 as a stray. He has a majestic and regal look about him, but also a goofy side. With one ear up, long body and glossy coat he is a standout. He does need some manners training as he will jump on you, but with a sharp retort he was responsive. He also has his silly goofy side when it comes to toys. He would need to have strong rubber ones to play with. He does want to please and will sit for treats and take them gently. He didn’t show interest in other dogs, yet we do ask if there is another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He is rambunctious, enthusiastic, playful, fun loving, joyful, and friendly. He has a semi-strong pull on a leash. He will need a secured yard for his playtime but wants to spend time in the house, enjoying his new loving family.

Hi, I’m Little Caesar! Yep, you guessed it — I got my name because I was found hanging out by the dumpster behind a Little Caesars. Pretty cheesy, right? But don’t worry, I’ve got a heart as big as a deep-dish pizza! I’m around 5 months old and about 25 lbs — still a growing boy, but already full of sweetness and charm. I’m a little skinny right now, but I’m healthy, happy, and oh-so-friendly. I walk nicely on leash, love people, and everyone says I’m cute as can be. The shelter life isn’t really my style — I’d much rather be cuddled up in a loving home where I can play, learn, and soak up all the affection I can get. I’m available for foster or foster-to-adopt, and I’m ready to start my new chapter. Maybe with you?
