To meet Sassy in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Stan absolutely loves and seeks attention and affection. He was so excited to be outside that he was almost beside himself and continually jumped on me. He just wanted to be acknowledged. After about five minutes he settled down and his true loving nature was on display. Stan is a one year old neutered 55 pound Border Collie/Alaskan Husky mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/21. He is black and white with white spots and stand-up ears. He would like to go outside for walks and to play, but then come inside the home for family time! He will need some manners training to learn not to jump on you. He does sit and offers his paw (when he wants to). Stan loves life and anybody that will give him attention. He’s got a very cheerful devoted disposition! He has saved up an abundance of kisses for you! He has a strong pull on the leash. He did his business immediately when he got into the yard.
