We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.

Let's Help Make His Wish Come True! Wishbone is an adorable male pup, most similar to his mother (Birdie) in size & markings. He'll be a medium size dog, sturdy but light. He was the smallest in his litter of four. His fur is turning out to be medium length. We believe there's border collie & cattle dog in their breed mix.. with a lot of cuteness sprinkled in! Wishbone was rescued at Thanksgiving along with his mama dog and littermates. He prefers to grab on to you like a rock climber when he is held, rather than melting in your arms or lap... but he will sit with you for hours.💛 He's not the most confident dog & will benefit from having a canine companion, as well as lots of attention from his humans. ** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Tracy Johnson; 214-697-7362 ** Meet Scout (aka Muffin.  The shelter called her Muffin, but we felt Scout was a better fit.  Feel free to re-name her when she is yours).  This soft-coated, beautiful dog is being fostered by our son in who is a college student in Waco, but Scout frequently visits us in Rowlett and will be with us most of July.  Scout is believed to be an Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years old.  She is energetic, smart and loves to cuddle.  She is trained to sit & fetch, loves to go on walks and can entertain herself with her toys.   I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scout and would love to keep her, however we recommend that Scout goes to a home where she will be the only pet. She LOVES humans, smiles when she sees them, but Scout does not get along with other dogs (of any size) or cats.   Our male dog was incompatible with Scout as he can be skittish and aggressive.   After getting to know this sweet girl, we are confident she will be an amazing pet for the right person or family.  Scout is a true angel with our special needs nephew. Actually, everyone Scout meets falls in love with her, especially the neighborhood kids.   She is also great in the car (road trips or running errands)  she’s a little doll in public stores.   Also, she rarely has an accident in the house and is crate trained. Scout has been spayed.  At this time, she is heartworm positive, but scheduled for treatment in Waco on July 17th.   We will take care of this expense and will provide heartworm prevention medication for one year. We are committed to finding her a home as the Waco shelter does euthanize and we are not going to allow that to happen. He is a big ball of enjoy and needs physical and mental stimulation every day. If he doesn't get his needs met he will become very destructive. He enjoys going on hikes, boulder climbing, swimming, kayaking, camping and road trips. Due to Hunter being a velcro dog he has major separation anxiety and needs to be with his person majority of the time.  He would do best on a family farm or some who has some land where he can be your side outside and help you with daily chores. He does not enjoy having other doges in his personal space so he would do best being the only dog. He enjoys playing and being around older children ages 10 and up.
