Story
We welcomed Segway into our lives as a puppy, and he has been an absolute joy for the past 6 years. He is a 6-year-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest, most gentle soul. Kind, caring, and deeply affectionate, he is the definition of a loyal companion. He is fully house-trained and very easygoing. He is fantastic with kids of all ages and gets along great with other animals, bringing a calm and friendly presence wherever he goes. Due to recent changes in our family and work schedules, we can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Our priority is finding him a warm, loving home where he will be included as part of the family and showered with the affection he gives so freely.

Baby Devon is the full package! He’s playful & full of joy, yet reserved & content when needed to be. Devon loves to run around being his clumsy, floppy self. His adorable personality shines with whomever is around. He's acclimated well to kids, other dogs & cats. He is so sweet & handsome & just fun to watch. He loves to playing with toys & receiving lots of "good boy" treats. He's such a love & would be a great addition to anyone’s life! Devon's approx 3 mos of age. My knee is healed, my bags are packed, and I’m ready for my next adventure… HOME! I’m Potion (59537774), a 1½-year-old Border Collie mix weighing 54 lbs. I’ve spent the last few months in a loving foster home recovering from knee surgery, and now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to begin the chapter I’ve been waiting for. I’m a very social girl who is house trained AND crate trained, loves playing with dogs my own size, and already knows SIT, DOWN, STAY and WAIT... with even more tricks in the works! I’ve worked hard to get here, and now there’s just one thing left on my recovery plan: find a loving family and become somebody’s best friend for life. Meet Sherman! He waited three long months in an overcrowded shelter, hoping his forever home would finally find him. As a true shelter favorite, Cody’s Friends knew they had to step in and help rescue this beautiful soul. Sherman is a Great Pyrenees mix with a striking black-and-white coat and freckles running up his legs. He currently weighs about 50 pounds and should fill out closer to 70 once he’s at his ideal weight. Extremely sweet and loving, he’s a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he becomes a total shadow. He’ll follow you from room to room, stare up with those big eyes and the cutest little underbite, and even give your hand a gentle nudge when he wants pets. Speaking of eyes, Sherman is blind in his left eye most likely due to a previous injury. It does not seem to cause him to act any different.  He has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him an easy fit for a more relaxed household. Because he loves being close to his person, he’d also make a wonderful travel companion. He’s crate trained, knows basic commands like sit and come, and is good with dogs. At five years old he’s mostly chill and quiet, though he can be playful with other dogs. Besides people, his favorite thing in the world is a squeaky toy. He’s very gentle with them and when he hears that squeak, his entire demeanor perks up. He becomes a little obsessed with the squeaking, and as a result, would be better with older children.  Sherman is being fostered in Waco.
