BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##

Story
Hi! My name is Cookie 🍪🤍 I’m a 1-year-old female Border Collie mix, about 15kg — a lovable medium-sized girl with a bright spirit and an even brighter heart. When I was still very young, I was placed on a euthanasia list. But someone chose not to give up on me. I was rescued and spent a month at a training center for evaluation — and the result was summed up in one word: “Perfect.” ✨ Now I’m living safely in a foster home, waiting for my forever family. My biggest charm? My social skills! I get along beautifully with other dogs, especially smaller ones. I’m playful and energetic, but also thoughtful — I actually prefer playing with dogs smaller than me and adjust my energy to match theirs. I don’t just play… I play kindly. 🐶💕 I love running, playing, and burning off my energy with friends. I prefer pottying outdoors, and after a good play session, I’m happy and satisfied. If you already have a dog at home, I think we could be the perfect team! When I first meet new people, I might look a tiny bit shy. But don’t worry — it doesn’t take long for me to warm up. I’ll gently approach, open my heart, and show you my sweet, affectionate side. I have a quiet kind of charm that sneaks up on you. 🤍 Because I’m still young, I’m happiest when I’m not alone. I truly thrive when I have a dog friend to run and play with. A life where I can share my days — that’s the life that fits me best. My second chance at life saved me. Now I’m hoping for a life where I’m never alone again. A home filled with warmth, family, and maybe even a furry best friend. Will you be my forever family? 🐾💕

Story
Hi, I’m Misty 💛 I’m a 3-year-old girl, a Border Collie–Samoyed mix, and I weigh about 17kg. People often notice my soft, fluffy coat first… but my favorite little charm? One of my ears folds slightly—it’s my special signature look 😊 I was rescued from a shelter where my time was almost up, but you wouldn’t know it if you met me. I’m bright, happy, and full of love. I really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I’ll come right up to you like we’ve known each other forever. I love attention, I love affection, and I love sharing little moments together. I’m also great with other dogs! I get along well with my furry friends and don’t like conflict—I’d much rather play and enjoy good company. If you like going on walks or playing together, I’ll be so happy. And after we’ve had our fun? I’m just as happy to rest quietly by your side. I have a nice balance of energy—I can be active, but I also know how to relax at home. I’m still learning what it means to live in a home. Things like potty habits and house rules might be new to me, but I’m a smart girl (that Border Collie side of me helps!), and I learn quickly when someone is patient and consistent with me. I don’t need perfection. I don’t need everything to be ready from the start. I just need someone who will understand me, teach me gently, and stay by my side as I learn. Because I’m already ready to love you. All I’m waiting for… is a family who will love me back, and give me a place to finally belong. Will you be family? 💛

Story
Hi, my name is McCall 🖤🤍 I’m a 2-year-old Border Collie boy weighing 18kg, and most people notice my eyes first. One shines bright blue, and the other is deep and dark — my special odd eyes make everyone look twice. But I hope one day, when you look at me, you’ll see more than just my appearance. I hope you’ll see my heart, too. Before rescue, my life was not very kind. I spent a long time tied to a short leash, without the freedom to run, play, or simply be a happy young dog. I didn’t receive the love and care every dog deserves. But somehow, even after everything, I still love people very much. Being with humans is my favorite thing in the world. I love when people play with me, talk to me, and spend time with me. Throw a ball for me, run around with me, or simply laugh with me, and you’ll see my whole face light up. I don’t just want toys or treats — I want connection. I watch people closely, respond to their emotions, and get so excited when someone gives me attention and love. I also enjoy making dog friends and playing with them. I’m naturally social, cheerful, and friendly, so I usually fit in well wherever I go. Because I’m a Border Collie, I’m a very smart boy. I learn quickly, notice patterns fast, and pay close attention to people and my surroundings. I’m happiest when I can use both my body and my brain. Training, games, learning routines, and communicating with my family are things that truly make me feel fulfilled. But I should be honest with you too — I have a lot of energy! I’m still young, and I love to run, explore, and stay active. A short walk alone probably won’t be enough for me. I dream of a family who enjoys adventures, outdoor time, play sessions, and teaching me new things. If you love spending time with your dog instead of simply having a dog beside you, we might be perfect for each other. There’s something important you should know: I’ve never really experienced normal family life before. Living inside a home, learning routines, waiting calmly alone, understanding house manners — these are all new things for me. Sometimes I may get excited, curious, or make little mistakes while I learn. But I promise I’m trying my best. I’m not a “difficult” dog. I’m simply a dog who is finally getting the chance to learn what love and family feel like. With patience, guidance, and kindness, I know I can become an incredible companion. Once, I could only watch the world from the end of a short chain. Now, I’m waiting for the chance to run freely, feel safe, and belong to someone forever. Maybe my odd eyes are special… but what I really hope you’ll love is my warm heart, my happy spirit, and how much I want to share my life with you. I’ll be waiting for my forever family. Maybe it’s you. 🖤🤍

Story
Hi, I’m Annie Mae! I’m a total rockstar — a social butterfly with higher energy who would happily run all day if you let me. I’m crazy smart and could easily be trained for agility, sports, or even service work. I’m potty trained, leash trained, dog friendly, and great with kids. I LOVE balls and playtime, and I thrive when I have a job or activity to keep my mind busy. If you want an energetic, intelligent, and playful companion who will keep you on your toes, I’m the one! Before coming here, I had quite the journey. I arrived with eight puppies and was severely malnourished, having clearly put everything she had into caring for her babies. The man who brought me in handled me roughly, but despite that, I have remained incredibly sweet, affectionate, and trusting. My resilience and loving nature really shine through, and I’m ready for a future where I get to be cared for just as much as I care for others. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Story
Olly is very friendly and loving pup. He was originally rehomed by his original owner. He was not claimed by that person. Olly loves all people and all dogs. He does really well on pack walks. Olly loves to go out on walks and is very good on leash. He is about 4 years old. He would do best with a family that could provide him with enough exercise and enrichment.Olly has a pretty strong prey drive and would not do well in a home with cats.

Story
Jacy arrived with that unmistakable spark only a very young Australian Cattle Dog / German Shepherd Dog mix can have—think of a tiny dynamo wrapped in fur, ready to explore the world one curious sniff and playful pounce at a time. At just over a month old and tipping the scales at a petite 7.6 pounds, she’s still discovering her puppy voice and testing the limits of her newfound paws. Life for Jacy right now is a joyful blend of puppy playdates with her littermates and soaking up lessons from her momma. This stage is all about learning social skills, building confidence, and figuring out just how much fun chasing a tail can be. With her working breed heritage, expect a puppy who’s going to grow into a smart, alert, and energetic companion who thrives on engagement and connection. Bringing Jacy home means embracing the wonderful chaos of puppyhood with all its messes, milestones, and magical moments. She’ll need a patient adopter ready to invest time in gentle training and consistent routines, helping her develop the manners and skills that will shape her into a well-rounded adult dog. Because puppies grow fast, early socialization and exposure to the world will be key to unlocking her full potential. Jacy’s ideal home is one that understands the needs of her Australian Cattle Dog / German Shepherd mix lineage—active, curious, and eager to learn. She will benefit from plenty of mental stimulation and safe outlets for her energy as she grows. While she’s too young now to know about compatibility with other pets or children, her current focus is mastering the art of play and puppy etiquette. This little girl will be ready to join her forever family starting July 11, with a pre-adoption option available now. If you’re looking for a bright-eyed, spirited puppy to add a bit of lively companionship to your life, consider opening your heart and home to Jacy. Northwest Working Breed Rescue is foster-based, so every adoption makes space for another deserving dog. To learn more about Jacy and how to bring her home, visit workingdogsnw.org.
