Story
Grayson is a big, white hunk of love! He is the biggest love bug and cuddly boy you will ever meet. He is a licking machine and will try to give you kisses any chance he gets. And don’t be deceived by his size, all 73 lbs. of this affectionate boxer boy loves to cuddle and act like he’s small enough to be a lap dog. He will play ball, go for walks/hikes, jog with you, or play in the backyard. He’s also a chill boy in the house and will lay in his bed or cuddle with you in yours. He can be active outside and mellow inside, best of both worlds! He loves going on outings and gets excited to go for car rides. Grayson is the ultimate adventure buddy and is always up for anything! Grayson does get a little anxious when left alone and would prefer someone who can hangout with him most of the day and take him on fun adventures! He is very food motivated so you cannot leave him unattended in a room with food or he will find it (and eat it lol)! Grayson loves all people, including kids, and would be a great addition to any family. He can be jumpy when he gets excited, so dog savvy children would be better for him. Grayson does get along with some dogs but can be reactive with others. He is mostly reactive when on the leash but if out in a yard he is very playful and friendly with dogs. We have found that he is great with small dogs male or female! He is a very good playmate and friend to the resident small female dog that lives with him. He can be selective when it comes to bigger male dogs. Overall, Grayson could thrive in a home without other dogs, with small dogs, with dogs who are submissive, or as an only dog. If you think Grayson could be a good fit for you, please apply online to meet him. He is awaiting his forever home that will embrace his loving, goofy self!

Story
Gypsy has been waiting for her forever home since she was just a puppy at the Milo Foundation Sanctuary. Through it all, she has never stopped hoping that the right person will come along. Story
Zero is a handsome young dog who is looking for a patient, experienced guardian to help him navigate the world. Zero is not the kind of dog who will instantly rush up to lick a stranger's face. Instead, he prefers to take his time, observe from a safe distance, and decide when he feels comfortable. While Zero is initially cautious around new people, the reward for your patience is truly special. Once Zero decides you are part of his trusted inner circle, his whole demeanor changes and he becomes a deeply loyal, devoted friend. He is a dog who values quality over quantity when it comes to his relationships. When it comes to other dogs, Zero is still figuring out the rules of engagement. His play style can best be described as awkward, and he does not quite know how to interact or read canine social cues appropriately just yet. Because of this, he needs a home with an experienced handler who can provide him with structured, positive situations where he can safely learn how to socialize. With the right guidance and a guardian who understands how to manage and advocate for a dog with his specific vibe, Zero has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful, well-adjusted companion. ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*** Primary Color: Sable Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 54.2 Age: 1yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
Meet Titus, a one-year-old Pit Bull mix who is essentially a walking ray of sunshine. If you are looking for a sidekick who believes every stranger is just a best friend he hasn't met yet, Titus is your guy. With a heart twice the size of his blocky head, he is the definition of "good vibes." His tail is a constant blur of motion, and he greets the world with a wide, infectious smile that makes it impossible to stay in a bad mood around him. He is a social butterfly through and through, boasting an A+ rating when it comes to getting along with both people and other dogs. Of course, every big personality comes with a few hilarious quirks. He is currently working on his basic manners and learning how to find his "off" switch, so he'll need a patient family willing to guide him through some essential training. The ideal home for Titus is one that embraces an active lifestyle. We also think he'd be great as a second dog, since he loves playing with other dogs and has energy to burn. He isn't looking for a couch potato life; he needs humans who view exercise as a hobby rather than a chore. Whether it's long hikes, vigorous play sessions in the yard, or engaging brain games, Titus thrives when he has a job to do and energy to burn. His perfect match will be someone who enjoys the bonding experience of obedience training and can provide the structure he needs to learn how to settle down after a big adventure. If you have the energy to keep up with a goofy, social, and endlessly lovable teenager, Titus is ready to reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and laughter. He is a work in progress, but the foundation of love and friendliness he offers is rock solid. Come meet this smiling boy today and see if you're the active leader he's been waiting for! ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*** Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: White Weight: 65.8 Age: 1yrs 3mths 1wks

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:1Ezequiel is a 10-month-old boxer weighing 65 pounds. He is a sweet, sensitive puppy who's still learning that the world can be a safe place. Everything is a little overwhelming right now, but with patience and kindness, this gentle boy has all the potential to blossom into the happy, confident companion he's meant to be. He'll thrive with experienced adopters who can let him settle in at his own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. A quiet adult home with a confident resident dog would be a wonderful fit, helping Ezequiel build confidence and discover all the joys of being a puppy. He would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.August 7, 2026, 2:11 am

If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Introducing ... PICASSO! This ultra-handsome Pit Bull Terrier cuddle bug is named after a revolutionary artist but the primary thing that sets this handsome guy apart -- besides his gorgeous blocky black and white painterly fur markings -- are his irresistible kisses! Make sure you have your glasses wipes handy if you wear glasses, because you will end up with some Picasso kisses on your face. Although Picasso is fairly new to the shelter, based on the interactions we've seen at the shelter and at a recent pet-themed festival where he met dozens of new people and dogs, PICASSO is good with other dogs of all sizes and people of all ages. He has not yet been cat-tested. He can be been known to be a bit of an escape artist, but with the right forever home that dedicates plenty of time to giving this guy all the exercise and play time and constructive training this young, active dog needs, we believe he will make an ideal family companion. Picasso walks well on leash and is just an all-around great dog. He loves to strut his stuff on leash, gets supah goofy in the play yard, but he also loves to roll on his back and get belly rubs and cuddles. Although he did receive lots of love and admiration at the festival, PICASSO has not yet met his forever family. That means he is still available for adoption at Humane Society of the North Bay in Vallejo. If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Barkley is a 3+ year old brindle American Bully mix with a lot to say-and no hesitation about saying it. Now that he's healthy and feeling good, he's developed opinions about just about everything, and if something isn't going his way, expect a soundtrack of grumbles and barks to go along with it (especially at bath time!). He's not trying to be difficult-he's just a very expressive guy who hasn't quite learned when to keep those thoughts to himself. He can also get a little carried away when he's excited. Barkley is a jumper, a wiggle machine, and a full-body greeter when he sees his people. If he gets overstimulated, he may mouth at you-not bite, just an overenthusiastic way of interacting that he'll need help learning to tone down. He's going to need structure, consistency, and someone committed to continuing his training so he can channel all that energy in better ways. But there's another side to Barkley, too. Underneath the cranky commentary and big reactions is a dog who really loves his people. He has absolutely no concept of personal space and will happily climb right into your lap-or directly on top of you-just to be close. It's not graceful, but it's very sincere. His fosters have jokingly said that "his love is aggressive" and they "can't tell if he's brilliant or a complete knucklehead".Barkley didn't have an easy start. He came into the shelter emaciated and weak, but thanks to time in foster care, he's now strong, healthy, and ready for a fresh start. Through it all, he's shown how smart he is and how much he wants to please. With the right guidance, he has all the tools to become a fantastic companion. He does well with most dogs and has even shown impressive patience with his foster's very cranky cat, who regularly slaps him just for existing nearby. Barkley takes it all in stride. He's not a "plug and play" dog-he's a work in progress with a big personality and big feelings-but for someone willing to put in the time, Barkley is going to be a deeply loyal, endlessly entertaining, and very loving companion.I need someone who understands I am strong and still need ongoing training support but I am a super awesome doggo - won't you let me show you?https://youtube.com/shorts/CAP7FkzpX8EBarkley's adoption fee is $250 . Freya had a lot going on when she came into the shelter. With a lot of love and TLC, her fosters worked hard to get her ready for her forever home.Freya loves people and getting affection, but she also love lounging in the sun. She also prefers NOT to get up until the sun's up. Freya is 100% a sun baby. She's a small girl with a big girl bark (it will surprise you). She loves snuggles, toys and car rides. She's happy to curl up and sleep in the car, so she would be happy to go with you on errands and outings.Freya is also a good walker and she loves her foster pup siblings. She's potty-trained and dog door trained. She sometimes has to be reminded to take treats 'easy' - she just loves apples and carrots and blueberries so much that she gets excited. If you're looking for a cuddly forever friend that loves people and dogs, she can't wait to meet you and climb in your lap!https://youtube.com/shorts/953bN_7c6lwFreya's adoption fee is $250.
