Story
Grayson is a big, white hunk of love! He is the biggest love bug and cuddly boy you will ever meet. He is a licking machine and will try to give you kisses any chance he gets. And don’t be deceived by his size, all 63lbs of this affectionate boxer boy loves to cuddle and act like he’s small enough to be a lap dog. He will play ball, go for walks/hikes, jog with you, or play in the backyard. He’s also a chill boy in the house and will lay in his bed or cuddle with you in yours. He can be active outside and mellow inside, best of both worlds! He loves going on outings and gets excited to go for car rides. Grayson is the ultimate adventure buddy and is always up for anything! Grayson does get a little anxious when left alone and would prefer someone who can hangout with him most of the day and take him on fun adventures! He is very food motivated so you cannot leave him unattended in a room with food or he will find it (and eat it lol)! Grayson loves all people, including kids, and would be a great addition to any family. He can be jumpy when he gets excited, so dog savvy children would be better for him. Grayson does get along with some dogs but can be reactive with others. He is mostly reactive when on the leash but if out in a yard he is very playful and friendly with dogs. We have found that he is great with small dogs male or female! He is a very good playmate and friend to the resident small female dog that lives with him. He can be selective when it comes to bigger male dogs. Overall, Grayson could thrive in a home without other dogs, with small dogs, or with dogs who are submissive. If you think Grayson could be a good fit for you, please apply online to meet him. He is awaiting his forever home that will embrace his loving, goofy self!

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:12Molly is a sweet, silver-muzzled lady with a gentle soul and a playful spark. She’s 9 years young and 63 pounds, a boxer/pittie mix who’s calm and thoughtful. She can be cautious at first, but once she warms up, she shines. Volunteers note she enjoys doing her own thing, trots nicely on leash, and takes treats very politely.  She already knows sit and paw, and loves squeaky toys. She’ll even play a mellow game of fetch with an impressive catch-and-drop.  On a recent field trip to Jack London Square, Molly showed just how easygoing she can be, walking very nicely at a relaxed pace. She had no reaction to passing people, dogs, or small animals, and took everything in stride. She was a bit restless in the car, but settled in and slept on the ride back. Around other dogs, Molly stays relaxed and prefers polite, low-key interactions. She’d do great as a solo dog or with a well-matched canine friend who respects her space. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet companion who appreciates kindness and a cozy routine, Molly might just be your match.   February 18, 2026, 12:05 pm

Story
Harlowe is a super sweet, energetic, loving dog. She gets along great with other dogs, but is not cat friendly. In October she did get a hold of a cat, and ended up getting an infection from the cat bite/scratch. She had surgery on her chest, but is fully recovered and back to her normal self. She also does very well with people and children (except for the fact that she does jump out of excitement a lot). Unfortunately our reason for needing to rehome Harlowe is because our autistic daughter has developed a sensitivity/fear of dog barks, and it has made things at home pretty difficult for us. Harlowe doesn't bark anymore than the average dog, but the affect it has on our daughter is pretty stressful. It breaks our heart that we are looking to rehome Harlowe, but we have to consider our daughter's needs first.

If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Hi! I'm Barkley and I didn't come into the shelter looking this sleek and handsome (I was handsome - just not THIS handsome). I went straight into foster so I could get some 'meat on my bones' which is exactly what happened. I am now a healthy 61 pounds, love dogs and humans, and was potty trained within 2 days (I use the dog door like a champ!).I am very food motivated (I was actually starving prior to rescue) and guard my food a bit- I'm getting better after only 3 weeks. I play really great with the other 2 dogs in the house and share toys without issue. I am learning not to jump on everyone when I meet them (I am just so darn excited to meet you!). I have met small dogs too without issue. I did almost take out foster moms knee with my hard head when running into the house (I didn't see her...sorry and she's fine by the way) so a house with older kids if you have any would be better for everyone. I have a bit of separation anxiety and am learning that the humans do return - so I will settle down after making a little ruckus. I need someone who understands I am strong and still need ongoing training support but I am a super awesome doggo - won't you let me show you?https://youtube.com/shorts/CAP7FkzpX8EBarkley's adoption fee is $250 . NOTE:Submit the adoption interest application directly at our HSNB website:https://www.hsnb.org/dog-adoption-applicationWe may not receive anything submitted through PetFinder or Adopt-A-Pet! If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Introducing ... PICASSO! This ultra-handsome Pit Bull Terrier cuddle bug is named after a revolutionary artist but the primary thing that sets this handsome guy apart -- besides his gorgeous blocky black and white painterly fur markings -- are his irresistible kisses! Make sure you have your glasses wipes handy if you wear glasses, because you will end up with some Picasso kisses on your face. Although Picasso is fairly new to the shelter, based on the interactions we've seen at the shelter and at a recent pet-themed festival where he met dozens of new people and dogs, PICASSO is good with other dogs of all sizes and people of all ages. He has not yet been cat-tested. He can be been known to be a bit of an escape artist, but with the right forever home that dedicates plenty of time to giving this guy all the exercise and play time and constructive training this young, active dog needs, we believe he will make an ideal family companion. Picasso walks well on leash and is just an all-around great dog. He loves to strut his stuff on leash, gets supah goofy in the play yard, but he also loves to roll on his back and get belly rubs and cuddles. Although he did receive lots of love and admiration at the festival, PICASSO has not yet met his forever family. That means he is still available for adoption at Humane Society of the North Bay in Vallejo. To apply for a meet-and-greet with this charming guy, fill this out: https://www.hsnb.org/dog-adoption-application/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 58 Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks
