Gabby is a pretty brindled lady brand new to FAAS. She`s calm, friendly and easy to walk and interact with, all hallmarks of a great addition to your family.&#10&#10* 8 years old&#10* 61 lbs&#10* Ignores and possibly likes other dogs&#10* Sweet, friendly and calm &#10* Easy to handle and harness&#10* Playful&#10* No-drama pup&#10&#10A well-adjusted senior, Gabby seems more interested in taking in the sights and sniffing the breeze than frantically checking pee-mail or getting into shouting matches with other dogs. Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:1Carmen is a beach-loving explorer with a heart as big as the ocean! She recently aced her beach outing, enjoying the breeze and sniffing out new scents with ease. Carmen navigated the car ride like a pro and remained calm even when faced with unexpected scooter encounters. This engaging and affectionate pup leans in for scritches and responds eagerly to commands. She's treat-motivated and enjoys gentle interactions, making her a joy to be around. Whether she’s gazing back at you with those soulful eyes or sitting patiently for some well-deserved head pets, Carmen’s devotion knows no bounds. Carmen thrives in a home with experienced owners who can continue positive reinforcement training. Due to her resource guarding tendencies, she's best suited for a household without children. Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
This little girl has all the energy and spunk you would expect from a puppy. And such a personality! Nomad loves to run and play....chase, wrestle, play tug-o-war, and leap like a gazelle. She loves her sister Gypsy, and loves people. She wants to be wherever you are, and is up for whatever you are doing. She is a puppy, which means she will need to learn how to behave in polite society....which she will quickly master. Nomad is an intelligent, playful, beautiful little pup. She is here at the sanctuary just waiting to be discovered and taken home. If you would like to know more, come meet her, and hopefully take her home, call the sanctuary in Willits at (707) 459-4900.

Story
King Boy is a loving 4 year old Dog. He’s very sensitive to your needs, he’s always willing to lay down near you for support . He loves the dog park but plays better with small dogs because he thinks he’s small too. We have to rehome him due to our granddaughter’s allergies. We want him to find a forever home where he can be his silly self.

Story
Hello everyone, I rescued Bacon from a high-kill shelter in LA where he was on the euthanasia list. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of getting him, I discovered I’m severely allergic to him and would like to find him a new, loving forever home. Bacon is an incredibly loyal, gentle, loving soul ever. He is super friendly and loves cuddles. He would be a little bit shy at strangers first but warm up quickly. He enjoys belly rubs and going for walks but he’s also happy to snuggle on the couch. He’s always by your side and will be your shadow. You will never feel alone because he’ll stick to you like glue and always wants to be touching you in some small way at least. He knows basic commands such as Sit, Leave in, his name, Stay, break,... He’s also calm and not leash-reactive, but still needs more structure since he gets distracted easily. We’re working on his separation anxiety and he should be crate-trained until becoming familiar with the new house. He still needs to be potty trained.

Story
How would you like to wake up to this grin every day?&#10Samantha is a very special young lady. She radiates pure joy. She`s a smiler who seems to revel in life despite living in a shelter. If she were a person, she would be someone who sees the glass as half full.&#10 &#10 * 2 years old&#10* on the small side for a pittie&#10* easy to walk&#10* lots of fun&#10* loves people&#10* should be only pet&#10&#10The word `wigglebutt` was invented for Samantha. Her joy is contagious, and she`s been at our shelter way too long for such a good girl. With positive reinforcement her overexcitement around other dogs has improved a lot and should only continue to get better.&#10Sam just scored herself a foster home for the first time. If you would like to meet this wonderful gal, call FAAS at (510) 337-8565 to set up a meeting.

Story
Julia is an extremely affectionate - and sometimes very nervous - young pittie who spent the first months of her life trapped in a crate. She needs a patient and understanding family to complete her recovery.&#10 &#10 * 1 year old&#10 * 39 lbs.&#10 * Very playful&#10 * Over-the-top energy at times&#10 * Another puppy-tolerant dog in the home who can be Julia`s pal would be a big plus (but not a must) &#10 * Sweet and allows handling&#10 * Teens okay&#10 * Not a huge fan of riding in cars; has to be airlifted in and out&#10 * Craves attention; wants to cuddle and snuggle all day long&#10 * Not yet fond of walks, but loves running around `home`&#10Julia can be quite a handful! Fortunately, she is also relatively petite. We`re confident that in loving hands, she will gain the confidence she needs to learn how to just hang and chill. Come meet this diamond in the rough at FAAS any afternoon but Monday.
