Story
This little girl has all the energy and spunk you would expect from a puppy. And such a personality! Nomad loves to run and play....chase, wrestle, play tug-o-war, and leap like a gazelle. She loves her sister Gypsy, and loves people. She wants to be wherever you are, and is up for whatever you are doing. She is a puppy, which means she will need to learn how to behave in polite society....which she will quickly master. Nomad is an intelligent, playful, beautiful little pup. She is here at the sanctuary just waiting to be discovered and taken home. If you would like to know more, come meet her, and hopefully take her home, call the sanctuary in Willits at (707) 459-4900.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:1Carmen is a beach-loving explorer with a heart as big as the ocean! She recently aced her beach outing, enjoying the breeze and sniffing out new scents with ease. Carmen navigated the car ride like a pro and remained calm even when faced with unexpected scooter encounters. This engaging and affectionate pup leans in for scritches and responds eagerly to commands. She's treat-motivated and enjoys gentle interactions, making her a joy to be around. Whether she’s gazing back at you with those soulful eyes or sitting patiently for some well-deserved head pets, Carmen’s devotion knows no bounds. Carmen thrives in a home with experienced owners who can continue positive reinforcement training. Due to her resource guarding tendencies, she's best suited for a household without children. Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
We rescued Jax 4 years ago, and he's become a beloved member of our family that we are heartbroken to have to re-home due to new jobs with travel and commutes. Jax is a nearly 7 year old boxer mix... a 70 pound dog who would love to sit in your lap and give lots of sloppy kisses if you let him! Jax is a sweetheart, whether curled at your feet in the family room, playing keep-away with the kids, or running with his doggie friends around the backyard. Jax's main challenge is separation anxiety: He spent over a year in the shelters after being abandoned by his previous family, and still suffers from anxiety if left alone at home. We've worked with him to gradually build up to being at home for an hour, or with another dog, but haven't been able to be consistent in his training in this area. The perfect home for Jax will have a large enclosed yard, one or more doggie companions, and loving humans around him! $50 donation to your local shelter required.

King Boy is a loving 4 year old Dog. He’s very sensitive to your needs, he’s always willing to lay down near you for support . He loves the dog park but plays better with small dogs because he thinks he’s small too. We have to rehome him due to our granddaughter’s allergies. We want him to find a forever home where he can be his silly self.

What a gem!! A loving and social fellow!! Tiberius is a goofy love-bug. He is eager to socialize and play. Tiberius is also a cuddle bug and loves attention. He is affectionate and physically interactive with people and dogs. Like many of our dogs, he can still use a little training (specifically not to pull on his leash), a front clip harness helps a lot! Tiberius is very food-motivated which helps with training. He is also a smart fellow and happy-go-lucky. What more could you ask for in this adorable chunk of a dog?

Story
Meet Sugar Pop! Sugar is looking for her happily-ever-after with dog parents who are willing to help train and socialize her. She has a wary side when it comes to strangers, but with the right amount of treats and loving, she is a total treat to have around. She will make sure to be the most loyal, and goofy best friend you'll ever need. Sugar does great with commands, especially when the treats are available. She is good with most dogs, but would do best on individual play dates to help her warm up to new human individuals. Sugar would prefer an adult only home with dog experience that can give her the TLC she deserves as she works on becoming the confident girl she strives to be.

Story
Riley is a happy, playful, and sweet girl that has so much love to give to a lucky forever family. Riley's love language is definitely treats! She may be shy at first, but when she opens up to you, you'll have a friend that will follow you anywhere. Note from foster: "Riley is a sweet and loving girl who seriously enjoys a nice belly rub. She is very playful and has loads of energy, but also knows how to cuddle up at the end of the day. When it comes to food, she's not picky and licks her bowl clean with no known food allergies. She is obedient on her walks, but can be distracted and leading towards other dogs which we've found a clicker being a valuable solution. Inside the home, Riley likes attention and favors that you stay close by. She has separation anxiety and will roam the home, but is not destructive."
