Story
Grayson is a big, white hunk of love! He is the biggest love bug and cuddly boy you will ever meet. He is a licking machine and will try to give you kisses any chance he gets. And don’t be deceived by his size, all 73 lbs. of this affectionate boxer boy loves to cuddle and act like he’s small enough to be a lap dog. He will play ball, go for walks/hikes, jog with you, or play in the backyard. He’s also a chill boy in the house and will lay in his bed or cuddle with you in yours. He can be active outside and mellow inside, best of both worlds! He loves going on outings and gets excited to go for car rides. Grayson is the ultimate adventure buddy and is always up for anything! Grayson does get a little anxious when left alone and would prefer someone who can hangout with him most of the day and take him on fun adventures! He is very food motivated so you cannot leave him unattended in a room with food or he will find it (and eat it lol)! Grayson loves all people, including kids, and would be a great addition to any family. He can be jumpy when he gets excited, so dog savvy children would be better for him. Grayson does get along with some dogs but can be reactive with others. He is mostly reactive when on the leash but if out in a yard he is very playful and friendly with dogs. We have found that he is great with small dogs male or female! He is a very good playmate and friend to the resident small female dog that lives with him. He can be selective when it comes to bigger male dogs. Overall, Grayson could thrive in a home without other dogs, with small dogs, with dogs who are submissive, or as an only dog. If you think Grayson could be a good fit for you, please apply online to meet him. He is awaiting his forever home that will embrace his loving, goofy self!

Story
Zero is a handsome young dog who is looking for a patient, experienced guardian to help him navigate the world. Zero is not the kind of dog who will instantly rush up to lick a stranger's face. Instead, he prefers to take his time, observe from a safe distance, and decide when he feels comfortable. While Zero is initially cautious around new people, the reward for your patience is truly special. Once Zero decides you are part of his trusted inner circle, his whole demeanor changes and he becomes a deeply loyal, devoted friend. He is a dog who values quality over quantity when it comes to his relationships. When it comes to other dogs, Zero is still figuring out the rules of engagement. His play style can best be described as awkward, and he does not quite know how to interact or read canine social cues appropriately just yet. Because of this, he needs a home with an experienced handler who can provide him with structured, positive situations where he can safely learn how to socialize. With the right guidance and a guardian who understands how to manage and advocate for a dog with his specific vibe, Zero has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful, well-adjusted companion. Story
Meet Titus, a one-year-old Pit Bull mix who is essentially a walking ray of sunshine. If you are looking for a sidekick who believes every stranger is just a best friend he hasn't met yet, Titus is your guy. With a heart twice the size of his blocky head, he is the definition of "good vibes." His tail is a constant blur of motion, and he greets the world with a wide, infectious smile that makes it impossible to stay in a bad mood around him. He is a social butterfly through and through, boasting an A+ rating when it comes to getting along with both people and other dogs. Of course, every big personality comes with a few hilarious quirks. Titus has a bit of a silly habit of humping dog beds when he gets overexcited. It's just one of those goofy "teenager" traits that makes him uniquely Titus. Because he is still young and full of zest, he is basically a giant puppy who hasn't quite figured out where his legs end and the rest of the world begins. He is currently working on his basic manners and learning how to find his "off" switch, so he'll need a patient family willing to guide him through some essential training. The ideal home for Titus is one that embraces an active lifestyle. He isn't looking for a couch potato life; he needs humans who view exercise as a hobby rather than a chore. Whether it's long hikes, vigorous play sessions in the yard, or engaging brain games, Titus thrives when he has a job to do and energy to burn. His perfect match will be someone who enjoys the bonding experience of obedience training and can provide the structure he needs to learn how to settle down after a big adventure. If you have the energy to keep up with a goofy, social, and endlessly lovable teenager, Titus is ready to reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and laughter. He is a work in progress, but the foundation of love and friendliness he offers is rock solid. Come meet this smiling boy today and see if you're the active leader he's been waiting for! ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*** Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: White Weight: 55.8 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
Sweet boxer boy Honcho is big and beautiful but he’s not the boss of anybody. More of a guru, really. Polite, easygoing, fond of a Kong if you’ve got one, this lovely gentleman is a respectful friend to other dogs and people. He’s got energy for short walks and exploratory sniff quests, digs a meditative bask in the sun, and doesn’t mind the stairs. He’s a youthful guy with a deeply calm and empathetic vibe – a fella who will stay for the whole story of your latest indignation and happily sit still for a healing hug. Looking for love in all the wrong places? Try Muttville! Honcho awaits your visit.
