Story
Cherry is the one with the dark right eye, Butter is the one with the light brown right eye. Cherry and Butter were born May 20, 2025. They are bffs and love to play together. I cannot fathom separating them so they have to go together. I care about them deeply but my schedule leaves me no time to actually be a pet parent and they deserve much better. They are friendly but Cherry can be very shy. Butter is more social. Since they grew up with their siblings, they’ll probably do well in a home with other cats. From my experience they behave well around kids. They are not vaccinated or spayed because I’ve had no time to get to it. I’d be happy to pay for half of those costs with proof of the vet bill. Id also be happy to help with any food/litter costs for the first 3 months.

Story
Meet Kaya (K-A-Y-A) 🧡 – A Gentle, Loyal Orange Boy Kaya will be seven this year and has been my heart cat since 2019. He’s a beautiful orange boy with the softest soul. He loves cuddling (a true emotional support snuggler), treats, running around the house, and being part of the family. He happily plays with my almost three-year-old daughter. Through breakups, babies, and moves, Kaya has been my steady comfort — truly my best friend. My youngest daughter is very afraid of cats. After 6–8 months of trying to acclimate them, it hasn’t worked. Kaya (and Blue) are confined to one room, and they deserve space and attention. Ideally a long-term foster, or loving permanent home. I’d love them together (and possibly Blue as well), but separate is okay. Thank you for considering giving him the life he deserves. 🧡

Story
Meet Blue 🩵 – Sweet, Snuggly, and Full of Love Blue is my sweet girl cat my husband gave me just three weeks into dating — and she’s been part of our story ever since. She absolutely adores my oldest daughter; they were inseparable, and their bond has been so special to watch. Blue is incredibly affectionate and gentle. She loves to snuggle up close, jump onto cozy spots, and play around the house. She’s soft, loving, and happiest when she’s near her people. Unfortunately, my youngest daughter, Luna, is very afraid of small animals. After 6–8 months of trying to acclimate them, it hasn’t worked. Blue (and Kaya) have been confined to one room, and they deserve space, freedom, and more interaction. Ideally, we’re hoping for a long-term foster or a loving permanent home. I would love for them to stay together (and possibly Kaya as well), but separate placements are okay if needed. Thank you for considering giving her the home she deserves. 🩵

Story
Name: Pumba This cat was born on October 8th 2023 he's the most active and masculine of his litter. Now he's two years old, his behavior is a dominant male even though he's a small dimension cat. He's not neutered. He defends the home from pests and Intruders. Will be good for a homeowner or a barn/farm cat. He's agile, brave, active and loves cuddles. He's an indoor cat but if you want him to be completely indoors you have to neuter him because he has a masculine dominant behavior and will not tolerate other male cats. He loves to be outside even though he's an indoor cat for short periods of time. Thank you in advance.

Story
Chowder came to our shelter after suffering a urinary blockage in his original home. His owners sought medical care immediately, but when a second episode happened, they were not able to commit to his special needs for life. We took Chowder to our vet right away. Thankfully he was not blocked again, but instead had an episode of FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease). He did not have an infection or crystals, so our doctor can only assume stress caused his episode. Thankfully, Chowder recovered quickly and was back to his sweet self in no time. To keep him at his healthiest, he should remain on a wet food only diet (NO DRY) to assist in preventing any future episodes. A low stress home is ideal for him as stress is often what sets off episodes of FLUTD. Hero loves other cats and would love a playmate in his new home. Chowder is about 5 years old. He is neutered , vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. Interested in meeting Chowder? Story
Indy came to HHR from a VERY tough neighborhood where he and his housemates were thrown outside. Indy is a super sweet boy who loves to play. He gets along great with other cats and would be fine with respectful children as well. He has never lived with dogs. Indy has a mild case of (what is assumed to be) cerebellar hypoplasia. This is a permanent condition (similar to cerebral palsy) and does not affect his quality of life one bit. It does give him a wobbly gait- something we find endearing. Indy is about 2 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, and current on flea/tick prevention. To meet him, please visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org and complete an application. Adoption donation $275.
