Story
Meet Skeletor – The Misunderstood King of the WindowsillLooking for a cat with character? Meet Skeletor, a striking orange tabby with a big personality and a heart that just needs the right human to understand him. Surrendered because he wasn’t a great fit for a home with a young child, Skeletor is looking for a quieter environment where he can be himself.Skeletor is an independent guy who knows what he likes: window naps, mealtimes, and being admired from a respectful distance—until he decides it’s time for pets. Yes, he will hiss at you. But... if you're brave enough to give him a gentle head scratch, he’ll melt into it like he’s been waiting for you all day. He’s that kind of cat: spicy on the outside, secretly affectionate on the inside. He doesn't enjoy the company of other cats (especially the ladies—he can be a bit of a bully), so he’d do best as your one and only feline companion. Skeletor also needs a home without children and with someone who understands feline body language and boundaries. He thrives when he feels safe and in control of his space. If you're a cat-savvy person looking for a quirky companion with a big personality, Skeletor might just be your guy. He’s not for everyone—but for the right person, he’ll be unforgettable.Skeletor is about 8-9 years old, snap tested negative for FIV/FELV, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. All he needs is you, your suit of armor, and your nerves of steel to love him. Apply here: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
Madonna is an energetic one year old cat with lots of love to give! She was found outside as a stray and has since opened up to us at Meriden Animal Hospital and has become an incredibly playful girl. She likes to play with her toys but prefers to play with people. She greets people at the door and rubs on their legs to show her love. Since she was a stray it might take her some time before she warms up in her new home but once she opens up she is a sweetheart. Madonna would do best in a home without other pets or young children and would need experienced cat owners.
