Story
Meet Archie After a long quarantine here at our shelter, Archie is finally ready to find his forever home. This handsome former street cat has come such a long way—thanks to lots of patience, kindness, and TLC, he’s blossomed into a total mush with a heart of gold. Archie is looking for an adopter who has experience with cats and understands that every feline has their own style of affection. He isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t like being picked up, but he does enjoy gentle companionship, quiet moments, and showing love on his own terms. This charming boy would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can lounge around, feel safe, and finally claim a cozy spot to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make your home feel complete—Archie just might be your guy. March 18, 2026, 2:21 pm

Story
Jax: An Energetic Goofball with a Big Heart DOB: 4/25/22 Jax is a joyful, big-hearted goofball who lives life in energetic bursts followed by long, cozy naps. One minute he’s zooming around like a tiny athlete, the next he’s dozing in one of his carefully chosen favorite spots. He loves being near his people, often hanging out in the same room while everyone does their own thing. When the mood strikes, he’ll happily sprawl on top of you for cuddles - always on his terms. Jax is a nonstop purr machine, incredibly personable, and genuinely enjoys meeting new people. Playtime is his favorite way to bond, and he brings enthusiasm and joy to every interaction. Because Jax feels everything in big ways, he’s best suited for a cat-savvy home without young children - one that understands playful overstimulation and can read his cues. When he’s overwhelmed, overly excited, or impatient for food, he may nip, but with routine, redirection, and interactive play, these moments are very manageable. Being held feels a bit too restrictive for his free spirit, though he tolerates brief hugs and short pick-ups when needed. Curious and clever, Jax enjoys exploring high places and staying involved in whatever his people are doing. He would thrive in a home with space to explore, plenty of enrichment, and people who want a fun, affectionate companion who truly wants to be part of the pack. Think you might be the perfect match for this big-hearted goofball? The first step is to complete our online adoption application: https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application. Adopters must live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT.

Story
Moo – Harlequin With Heart DOB: 7/18/2023 Moo didn’t just find his way to a volunteer’s doorstep—he chose it. Showing up a little worse for wear but full of love, he made it clear right away that he belonged with people. Now safe and thriving, this striking harlequin boy is ready to find his person. Moo is the kind of cat who bonds deeply. Gentle and mellow with a playful spark, he loves catnip, gets the occasional zoomies, and will absolutely impress you with his jumping skills. But his signature move? Big, heartfelt head butts—his way of making sure you know you’re his. Moo has asthma that’s controlled with daily medication (pills and an inhaler, which he takes like a champ). His care comes with an estimated monthly cost of ~$300. He also has FIV, but with proper care, he can live a long, happy life. Ask us for more information about FIV. Here is a good starter FAQ from a reliable source: https://www.texaspetsalive.org/uploads/resources/Austin-Pets-Alive-FIV-FAQ-52F6.pdf. Moo is looking for a home where he can be your one and only—no other pets, just him soaking up all the love and giving it right back tenfold. He’s ready to settle into being someone’s constant companion with a kind of love that is priceless. We know Moo’s person is out there—someone ready to commit to him the way he’ll commit to you. We are looking for a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopter to give him that chance. Apply to meet Moo: fofct.org/adoption-application. Adopters must live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT

Story
Benson: Your Easygoing Sidekick Benson has settled into indoor life with ease and has proven himself to be a calm, curious, and quietly affectionate companion. This sweet boy loves being near his people—whether he’s lounging nearby or snoozing beside you on the bed. He’s not demanding, but he always welcomes pets and shows his affection with enthusiastic headbutts. Benson does have his limits and will gently let you know when he’s had enough, so he’ll do best in a home that can read and respect his cues. He strikes a wonderful balance between playful and relaxed, enjoying bursts of fun with toys like kickers and springs, followed by long stretches of lounging and grooming. Easygoing and adaptable, Benson takes everyday household activity in stride and isn’t easily startled by noise or movement. Benson would do well with a feline friend—in his foster home, he enjoys grooming sessions and playtime with the resident cat. He’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all your attention. Looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company (and maybe bond with your current cat)? Benson might be your perfect match. Apply to meet him now: https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application. Applicants need to live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT
