Story
Woozle is a charming, silly boy who has truly mastered the art of relaxation. He’s always ready for his next nap and can often be found stretched out in the warmest, sunniest spot he can find, soaking up the rays and dreaming the day away. When he’s not snoozing, Woozle’s goofy personality shines through and is sure to bring smiles to everyone around him. He’d love a home that appreciates a good balance of cozy downtime and lighthearted fun—and a few sunny windows would be the perfect bonus for this sweet, sleepy guy.

Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 8/29/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Dolly This beautiful shorthaired tabby/white girl is SO ready for a home of her own. Picture this. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. But if you want to just offer her a warm and cozy, QUIET sunspot for the first week or two, she would worship you forever. Dolly hasn't yet been tested with other cats and dogs (really, 5 rambunctious kitten roomies are ENOUGH for right now), but we will be able to do so soon, as those kittens will be moving on out. Now it's Dolly's turn! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Dolly is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. We still have two of our adorable Country Singers litter available - an early 2026 litter of kittens, born about 4/22/26 and surrendered by their owner to our shelter. WILLIE- male, DSH tabby, brown nose, white muzzle, throat, lots of white on back legs MERLE- male, DSH tabby white spot on nose, white chin/throat, white feet These boys would love a home together, but are also happy to split up and meet whatever existing pets you already have! They are young enough that they should adapt fine with proper introductions. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $85 (more gratefully accepted). The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Columbia This sweet but shy girl, born around 4/1/2025, arrived at the shelter with her kittens in tow, after being found abandoned outside a home. Columbia has raised and launched her babies successfully, and is now starting to figure out that humans are actually pretty nice, and having regular meals and a safe place to sleep isn't the worst thing in the world. As you can see from her video, she is still stuck a bit in "flight mode" and hasn't taken the time to learn how to play, or how to relax on a person's lap. The good news is, she will let us pick her up and we can tell that, with the right person and some patience, she could learn how to let herself be loved. She's not a fan of dogs, and the energy levels and sounds of small children will probably always be on her least-favorite-things list. She does enjoy the company of other calm kitties. Here is some great information about adopting a shy cat like Columbia: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat While kitties like Columbia may need a little extra patience and TLC, there is nothing as rewarding as the first time your shy cat jumps up on your bed and chooses to sleep next to you. Trust me, it's worth the wait. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Columbia is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Pickles is sweet, spicy, and delightfully particular. He’s a quiet observer with a quirky charm who spent over a year at Pasado’s learning that humans can be trusted and now that he’s decided they’re mostly okay, he enjoys affection in small, meaningful doses (always on his terms). Pickles isn’t into toys or chaos, he prefers a peaceful lifestyle. What does he love? Churu treats, cozy spaces, and being a truly top-tier decorative cat. He’s happy to lounge beautifully, supervise your day from a distance, and add calm, aesthetic vibes to your home.He gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a patient, cat-savvy home that understands that not every cat wants to be the life of the party. Pickles is the kind of companion who rewards respect with trust, and once you’re in, you’re really in.
