Hi, I'm Tiny Batman and I'm from Alabama! From his foster: Tiny Batman has been going by Tito with us. I mostly call him silly pet names, so I honestly don't know if he knows any particular name right now :) Because I work from home, I have spent a lot of time with this little guy. He is full of dog love! He is also guarded and nervous around new people. He requires patience and a home that lets the dog decide when he wants attention. He will bark at sounds, new visitors, squirrels in the yard, and other dogs, but as he is building some comfort, this behavior is beginning to subside. 1. He is a very playful dog. He loves to chase a ball and he loves tug of war. He definitely sounds aggressive when he plays, so it takes some time to learn his body language when he wants to play with you. 2. We go on a daily walk and he loves it. He still wants to run in the yard several times a day. I am learning that he is not a fan of rain and you have to go outside with him to encourage him to stay out long enough to go potty. I'm guessing the snow will be similar. He can be leery of new people putting on his leash, so it might take some time for that comfort level to come. I have been using a slip lead, so no collar, and that has been fine. 3. He is mostly trained to use the bathroom outside, but he definitely had some accidents in the first week or two that he was with me-probably nerves. He still has some #2 accidents on occasion (I think it is when I take too long to leave for the walk in the morning). 4. He is very sweet and affectionate and will require a good amount of attention. 5. I have never put him in a crate in my home, but he does sleep on his own in a dog bed through the night. He will also sleep with you if you let him. 6. He likes to chew on bones and even ice. He likes to be busy when he isn't sleeping. 7. I do not have another pet in my home, so I can't say for sure how he would do in a multiple pet situation. It seems like he could be playful with other dogs, but I think a slow, calm introduction might be required. As I understand, he has been around other dogs prior to living with me. I do not know anything about his history with cats nor have I encountered any cats since having him. 8. I feel that an adults only house will be best for him. Small children certainly won't be a good fit for him. It is possible that older kids in the house could be okay. Tiny still needs training and everyone in a home will need a vested interest in his training and success. A home with lots of people in and out and lots of activity will likely stress this guy out and lead to not his best behavior. 9. He seems to do okay on car rides. I haven't tested this too much, but I have had some amount of success on a couple of car trips. 10. He loves to run in a yard, but if you just are able to get him out for walks that will likely suffice. I suppose he will want space to run around the house without a yard though. 11. A single family dwelling without shared walls is probably best. An apartment with shared hallways would be tough on this guy and shared walls might be tough on your neighbors because he is definitely vocal at times. Tiny has a history that includes a scare with a harness, which left him apprehensive about leashes. For now, he needs a fenced yard to explore freely without the pressure of a leash. With patience and love, Tiny will reward your commitment with endless snuggles and affection. Tiny is a very special dog that needs a very special home. He is the absolute sweetest companion! I have seen such growth in him in a short period of time. As he learns to feel safe in an environment, he can and will thrive. Please know that he will need time and patience and maybe a little bit of forgiveness along the way.

My name is Little Bit. I'm from Alabama! From his foster: Little Bit is a one of a kind guy. At our home we have been calling him Herb - because he reminds us of an old man with his constant love for napping and food! Herb is a dog with seizures, so he requires 3 times a day medication. He has improved a little bit with the crate but still isn't great. He does well being out with no supervision! He has minimal accidents in the house but we put belly bands on him and he does amazing with those. Herb loves nothing more than to snuggle under the blankets with you any time of the day! He loves food, so if you're eating be prepared to have him beg at your feet for a little taste! He currently lives with 2 dogs and 2 cats and does well with all of them! He loves kids as well, preferrably if they're over the age of 4. From the Vet: Hi, My name is Little Bit and I would like to share some information about my medical history. I have active epilepsy, however I am currently managing these episodes on anti seizure drugs three times daily and doing well as long as I get the meds on that consistent schedule. As long as you are comfortable and able to help me in this way, I know I will be an amazing addition to any family!

Hi! My name is Lil Bit and I am from Arkansas. From my Foster! Lil Bit is a TOTAL lap dog - she just wants to snuggle on your lap. She is very loving and loves your attention. She'll be your little shadow. She still gets a bit nervous with loud noises, and is very loyal to me. She loves to go on walks. She wants to meet all dogs on our walks to see if she can make new friends. She loves food and LOVES her treats. She would love to sleep with you. She tolerates me brushing her teeth, such a good girl! From the Vet: I am currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will need to have a bilateral knee surgery to repair my grade 3/4 luxating patellas after my heartworm treatment has been completed. Don't worry Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! My adoption can still take place while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center and the completion of the MPL procedures. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family. I hope I can find a special home for a special dog like me. If your looking for a lil pup to spoil I may be your girl!

Story
Hi! I'm Mocha. I'm from Arkansas. From her foster: This is Mocha! She came to the rescue pregnant, and raised a sweet litter of puppies. She is a good mom, but is looking forward to a place to call her own and some chill time cuddling on the couch without having to break up the puppy wrestling. Mocha loves snuggling with her person or a calm canine companion. She loves a warm couch, cozy dog bed, and crawling under blankets. She would be happiest being a lap dog with a few short walks to go potty. She might enjoy a yard, but definitely doesn't need one to be happy. Mocha is potty trained on a schedule, and does amazing in a crate when I'm away. She sleeps in a cozy kennel next to my bed at night, but would probably equally love sharing a bed with her person or snoozing in a dog bed beside them. Mocha is a southern gal who isn't interested in MN weather. She would prefer to lounge by a fire or under a blanket this winter and keep her time outside to a minimum. She shivers when it's below 35. She does her business quick and hustles back to the door. She also appreciates a nice warm sweater. Mocha is friendly with the dogs she's met here, but so far a little too submissive to play much. She has been great with all the dogs she's met at my house, but on walks she barks at dogs she sees. This may have been exacerbated by her maternal instincts, and maybe won't be an issue going forward. But if she is leash reactive, there is are definitely ways to improve it! She's treat motivated and aims to please :) She is a bit timid but is being fostered with dog-savvy kids. It took her some time to trust them. But she eventually did and now enjoys laying by them for pets. She'd probably be happiest in a quieter home though, with adults or older kids. When young kids (who she didn't know) came to visit, she followed them and barked nervously. I put her in her crate away from the chaos, to give everyone some space, and she didn't make a peep. I think she liked having a safe space. I am happy to answer questions about Mocha and see if we can find her the perfect match for her new beginning! Please fill out an application to meet her or learn more!

Hello my name is Mimi and I was surrendered along with my best friend Daisy after our owner died. Daisy and Mimi have to stay together. They are truly bonded and like to be right next to each other at all times. They are dog friendly and have spent a lot of time at boarding facilities and in large play groups. They are very social with people but we haven't seen them around kids specifically so we don't know how they'll do with really young kiddos. We also don't know how they are with kitties. They are house trained and are not big barkers. They just want a place where they can stay together after losing their owner. From their foster: Daisy and Mimi are two siblings that are a bonded pair. They spend lots of time together and will need to be adopted by the same family. They are such happy good girls. Both Daisy and Mimi enjoy going to daycare with other dogs, they are friendly with all types of dogs, so with proper introductions, they should be a good match with any other dogs (probably cats too! - although we haven't tested them). They are very small so keep that in mind. Most of the time, they are content to snuggle on the couch with one another - or the human, but they occasionally will run around and wrestle with each other or with other dogs. They are both so loving and affectionate with their humans. They love to be carried around, give kisses, and snuggled with. At first, they may be shy, but are quick to warm up with people. They are very food motivated and enjoy eating their meals in the crate. They would likely be easy to train due to this.
