Story
Looking for a guard dog?? Milo is for you!! Milo is a 70 lb. 2-year-old Great Pyrenees Mix. He is VERY intelligent and trainable with formal obedience training. (Fuss, Platz, Here, Rug, Heel & more.) He is GREAT at walking on leash and wonderful at obeying his commands. House & crate trained as well. Milo loves to be outside and go on daily walks. He is very food motivated (He LOVES treats. =), good with car rides, low energy, nondestructive, & a GREAT guard dog!!! Takes time to warm up to new people and pets. His guardian breed tendencies are strong. Milo needs a new home that is better suited to his natural instincts & demeanor. (Not a good fit for a busy household with lots of kids or visitors like ours.) He would thrive in a home that is quiet with a consistent routine. Milo is very loyal & a wonderful guard dog! 🏡 He would be a GREAT guard dog for a family who has property or a farm.

Story
💃✨ Chimi ✨💃 1.5-year-old • German Shepherd Mix • Female Chimi is a sweet, gentle soul who just needs a little time to feel safe. She can be shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her bright personality shines through. At heart, she’s an energetic young girl who loves to move, explore, and would thrive with someone who can give her regular exercise and some basic obedience training to help her build confidence. Chimi can be nervous when meeting new dogs, but she does not show aggression—she simply needs slow, patient introductions so she can feel secure. The same goes for cats: when brought into the cat room, Chimi was fearful but showed zero reactivity or aggression. With careful, gradual introductions, she has great potential to coexist peacefully with other animals. This sweet girl is looking for a patient, loving home that will let her blossom at her own pace. Due to her jumping playful habits, I would not recommend her in a home with small children. She may do well with older kids in the home. If you’re willing to go slow, give her guidance, and help her grow, Chimi will reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of joyful energy.

🐾 Meet Brian! 🐾 Meet Brian, an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of joy and a personality that lights up every room! Brian is the perfect mix of playful, loyal, and loving — a young dog ready to take on life’s adventures with his forever family by his side. This bubbly, outgoing boy is always up for anything! Whether it’s a long walk around the neighborhood, a day exploring trails, or just relaxing at home, Brian is happiest when he’s with his people. He’s an affectionate companion who loves being part of the action but also knows how to wind down and enjoy some cuddle time on the couch. Brian walks well on a leash but, like most young pups, could use some additional leash manners and basic obedience training. With his intelligence, food drive and eagerness to please, he’s sure to pick things up quickly — especially with positive reinforcement and consistency. He’s a big fan of kids, greeting them with tail wags and a gentle, happy energy. Brian can be a bit selective with other dogs, but he’s loved the majority he’s met so far. A proper introduction will go a long way in helping him make new canine friends. When it comes to cats, Brian showed no reactivity when walked through the cat room at the shelter — so a feline sibling could very well be in his future! Always do slow, proper introductions when introducing a new animal. Brian is still a young, growing boy who would thrive in an active home that can give him plenty of exercise, structure, and love. With a family willing to guide him and continue his training, Brian will blossom into an amazing lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and affectionate pup to join your adventures and your heart, Brian is your guy! ❤️ Come meet Brian at the Manteca Animal Shelter — he’s ready to find his forever home and start his next big adventure! 🏡🐾

Story
💪Dominik🐾 This handsome 1 year-old Pit Bull is the total package — playful, loyal, and full of love to give! Dominik’s favorite things in the world are cuddling up with his humans and playing with his toys. While he prefers people-time over dog-time, his goofy personality and big heart make him a joy to be around. Dominik loves his walks, so much that he likes to carry his own leash! It’s adorable, but if you’d rather he didn’t, he’s a smart boy who would thrive with a bit of basic obedience training. Due to his energy level and leash biting, I would not recommend him in a home with small children. He also travels well in the car and enjoys tagging along for any adventure. When it comes to cats, Dominik seems a little too curious, so we’d recommend slow introductions if he’ll be sharing his home with feline friends. Dominik is ready to find a family who will give him all the love, playtime, and belly rubs he deserves. Could that be you? ❤️🐶
