Story
Goober is a 5-year-old American Staffordshire/Pit Bull Terrier mix looking for his next home. He is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on rabies vaccine. He is about 62 pounds. We are very sad to see Goober rehoused but need to because we are relocating to Spain and are unable to take him with us.Temperament: Goober is great and playful with other dogs (similarly sized), and gentle with kids. What he needs:A tall, secure fence — 6 ft minimum, since Goober can jump. To be clear: this isn’t a behavior issue. He’s not anxious, aggressive, or trying to escape — he’s chasing squirrels. Give him a secure yard and he’s happy to stay in it.Beyond the fence, he needs to burn energy. That could be an active owner ready for regular exercise and real companionship, or another similarly-sized dog with matching energy to play with — either works, as long as he’s got an outlet.

Story
Hello, I adopted Wilson from Stanislaus County animal shelter early this year. He was on their danger list. He was known at the shelter as being the friendliest dog. They would use him to see if new incoming dogs were friendly. Upon bringing him home he wanted to meet my existing dogs right away. I planned to wait a few days but he could not wait. He loved them immediately and they loved him. The reason I have to rehome is that in April, he slipped his lead and broke into a coop and killed 12 of our chickens. We continued to work with him by training him that chickens were pets also. Everything seemed well until yesterday. My husband arrived home to find him slipped off his lead again and this time he broke into 3 coops and proceeded to kill 35 of our chickens. He would benefit from a home with a large yard, other dogs and no chickens or rabbits. He loves running along side you and has tons of love to give. He quickly grew in my heart and it pains me to have to rehome him. Thank you.

Wylie is standoffish at first but will acclimate with some kindness and gentle hand. He was trapped at Delta College in Stockton, CA. We soon found out that Wylie had very little contact with humans and needed a lot of socialization. He has been to training and was top of his class to graduate from the training school. We are looking for a foster to adopt for Wylie that can offer him the patience and love needed to reach his full potential. ##2372301##

Story
Bandit is a 3-4 year old male white German Shepard mix. He did not have a fair start in life. As a puppy, he was in a home that was severely abusive. He ended up on his own living in a vineyard and surviving on small animals. WAR was able to trap him and under their steady and loving care, he has developed into one of the sweetest and loving dogs on the rescue. He can even bark "I love you"! Because Bandit has been let down by many humans in his life, he needs to be with a family willing to be patient and build trust with him. The person willing to provide him that love and patience will ultimately see what we have seen...a loving, loyal, and protective companion. All you have to do is look into this boy's eyes and see his sweet smile to see know Bandit's. He is an escape artist, so will need to have secure fencing and a kennel/crate for him when he is unattended, particularly while he is adjusting to his new home.  If you are interested in meeting or fostering Bandit, please visit the Wilton Animal Rescue website and complete an adoption application.https://wiltonanimalrescue.com/adoption-application/ ##2372290##
