Story
Meet Piper—a truly special little lady who’s been waiting far too long to find her forever home. This sweet Miniature Pinscher mix has quite the story. She arrived at Misty Eyes Animal Center from a shelter with her litter of eight puppies, and after lovingly raising them, it’s finally her turn to be cared for and cherished. Piper will be a bit timid at first and can be shy around new people, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, she blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily curl up beside you and show just how loving she truly is. At around 3½ years old and 30 pounds, Piper has a playful side—she especially enjoys chasing her favorite ball and letting her joyful spirit shine. Because she can be sensitive to loud noises and unfamiliar situations, she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Piper finds comfort in her people and forms strong, loyal bonds. With the right family—one that understands her gentle nature and is willing to go at her pace—she will be an incredibly rewarding companion. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this deserving girl, please submit an adoption application at: https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Frito needs to go to a home where he is the only dog. He loves to sit on laps. He needs taken out frequently. He would do best in a home with no other pets or kids. He would be great for a stay at home worker or someone retired. Unsure of the breed of dog he was a rescue dog. Also unsure of the age was predicted to be 2 when we got him, he should be around 7 now.

Story
I'm hoping to bless someone with a smart, energetic and super sweet dog who just needs a home with either another dog/dogs, kids, a fenced-in yard or an active lifestyle. Otto boy is a 3-yr old medium-sized mutt. He has a beautiful little heart and endless energy. He loves car rides, swimming, walks/hikes and most of all playing with other dogs! He's well-traveled and perfectly potty-trained (good for 12 hrs at home). l've never seen him be possessive over food, treats, toys, etc. I love that he's a super clean dog; he poops and runs away from it and doesn't drool! He sleeps great at night and is an excellent snuggler. Be careful; he’s so affectionate that it’s easy to fall in love quickly! He started doggie Prozac a month ago to deal with fireworks around July 4th and anxiety around moving homes but I hope it’s only needed temporarily!I can tell you Otto’s background and why I’m rehoming but there isn’t enough room here. And the $10 fee is just to deter bad people… Please reach out!

Story
Sirius is a very goofy, playful, energetic dog. He is super duper lovable. Sirius is 3 1/2 years old. We’re looking for a family who is very active always out and about. Love to take their dog anywhere they go. He definitely has a lot of energy to expel and is great with kids. Can be quirky sometimes, but loves to live in your shadow. please note that when we first got him, he was very skittish but he wasn’t aggressive, did not want to be touched for a while so keep that in mind. He also really loves cuddles but does not like kisses.

Story
Meet handsome Copper, a striking 5½-year-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! After the heartbreaking loss of his owner, Copper was surrendered to a shelter. Thankfully, he is now safe in a Misty Eyes foster home while he waits for a loving forever family to call his own.Weighing about 65 pounds, Copper is believed to be a Red Border Collie. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those close to his size, and the companionship of a well-socialized canine friend may help him feel more comfortable. Copper is a somewhat anxious boy who can become distressed when there is too much activity in the home. He would do best in a quiet household without lots of visitors and noise, but with people who can provide the physical and mental stimulation a smart, active Border Collie needs. He loves riding in the car, although he has a very different opinion of moving vehicles—he wants to chase them! Busy roads and traffic noise are also unsettling for him, so a quiet neighborhood would be ideal. Because Copper can become cranky when stressed, he would not be a good match for a home with young children. However, for the right adult family, this handsome boy has so much potential!Copper is an intelligent fellow who would likely thrive with additional training. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy, hiking companion, or adventure partner, Copper may be your perfect match! If you’re ready to give this wonderful boy the fresh start he deserves, please submit an adoption application online at: https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.
