Story
Meet Buck: A Loyal Snuggle Buddy Buck will be 7 years old this year and has been our beloved companion since he was just 8 weeks old. He has grown up with our family and has always been incredibly patient and gentle with our two young children. Buck loves walks, playing fetch, and most of all snuggling. He truly believes he’s a lap dog and is happiest curled up close to his people. He thrives on love and attention and would do best in a home where he can be part of the family. He has lived with cats and done wonderfully with them. He also plays well with other dogs, especially those his size or smaller. Larger dogs can make him a bit nervous, but he has never shown aggression. Rehoming Buck has been a very difficult decision due to our son’s allergy and health issues. We hope to find him a loving home where he can get the attention he deserves. 🐾

Story
Meet Piper—a truly special little lady who’s been waiting far too long to find her forever home. This sweet Miniature Pinscher mix has quite the story. She arrived at Misty Eyes Animal Center from a shelter with her litter of eight puppies, and after lovingly raising them, it’s finally her turn to be cared for and cherished. Piper will be a bit timid at first and can be shy around new people, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, she blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll happily curl up beside you and show just how loving she truly is. At around 3½ years old and 30 pounds, Piper has a playful side—she especially enjoys chasing her favorite ball and letting her joyful spirit shine. Because she can be sensitive to loud noises and unfamiliar situations, she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Piper finds comfort in her people and forms strong, loyal bonds. With the right family—one that understands her gentle nature and is willing to go at her pace—she will be an incredibly rewarding companion. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this deserving girl, please submit an adoption application at: https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Anya (also called Stella) and Buddy are a playful young Husky duo estimated to be around 2–3 years old. These two share a special bond and truly bring out the best in each other. They love spending their days running, chasing, and play-wrestling together in classic Husky fashion. While they are very playful together, they are also comfortable doing their own thing when it’s time to relax and often nap separately. Anya is the more talkative of the pair and loves to “chat,” especially when she’s excited to start the day or head outside. She’s affectionate and enjoys being close to her humans when she’s not playing with Buddy. Buddy is the goofy gentleman of the duo — a big, gentle goofball with a sweet personality. He’s generally quieter but will let out an impressive Husky howl when he’s excited about treats, playtime, or cool weather outside. Both dogs are very people-friendly and do well with adults and children. They enjoy toys, running outdoors, cuddling with their people, and especially playing together. Snow days are easily one of their favorite things! They have moderate to high Husky energy and will thrive in a home that can give them regular exercise and outdoor time. Because they have lived together and enjoy each other’s companionship so much, they would do best adopted as a pair where they can continue their playful partnership. Behavior & Training Summary Bond: Strongly bonded and very playful together. They enjoy each other’s company but can be separated for short periods without distress. House trained: Mostly house trained. Occasional accidents have occurred but they generally do well in the home. Crate trained: Yes, both do well in crates. Leash walking: They can pull when excited during walks. Food motivation: Very food motivated, which can be helpful for training. Escape tendencies: Both attempted to escape initially. Buddy may still wander into neighboring yards if fencing allows gaps. Digging: Both enjoy digging and have created several holes in the yard. Fence behavior: Not fence jumpers. However, they may dig or push under chain link fencing if there are loose areas. Good with adults: Yes Good with children: Yes Good with other dogs: Generally yes. Anya can be selective with some female dogs but does well with males and smaller dogs. Good with cats: Unknown Energy level: Moderate to high energy typical of Huskies. Favorite activities: Running, playing together, toys, outdoor time, cuddling with people, and snow.

Story
Meet Bentley! Bentley is an exceptionally handsome bearded black Terrier-Lab mix who weighs around 38 lbs and has plenty of puppy energy to share! He’s fun, friendly, and very sweet. Bentley would do best with a family who can provide both mental and physical exercise to help burn off some of his puppy energy.
