Story
Fred is a sweet guy. We had intended Fred to be a family dog who could still help with cattle in our farm. Unfortunately, due to an illness in the family, we no longer have the time to spend with Fred and need to rehome him. He is a 2 year old border collie with a lot of energy who needs space to run and play. He has been well-taken care of and trained for basic commands.

Story
Alejandro is a 6 year old male Boston Terrier. He weighs 19.6 pounds and is such a fun loving handsome guy! He has been friendly with people and dogs and of course he loves his toys. He leash/harness and crate trained and is pretty good at the potty training game of ringing a bell but of course his new home will have to be consistent. Alejandro has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms. He had a dental exam but did not need a cleaning. Our vet said he is apparently healthy. Alejandro's adoption fee is $325.00.If you are a preapproved adopter just send an email to adoptions.scdr@gmail.com and let us know you are interested in adopting him. If you are not preapproved you will need to complete the adoption application at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.com. We are located in Prole, Iowa. Thanks!

Story
Angie Dickenson is a beautiful 4 year old female Shiba Inu! She weighs 20.8 pounds and has been very friendly with us. She's energetic and loves to play! Angie Dickenson does NOT like other dogs. She has been known to attack them unprovoked and will need to be the only dog in her new home. She needs an experienced owner that can work with on this issue. She is not a dog that can be taken to dog parks or doggie daycare. Angie Dickenson has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccinations. She tested negative for heartworms and had a dental exam and cleaning. Our vet said she is apparently healthy. Angie Dickenson's adoption fee is $325.00.If you are a preapproved adopter, just email us at adoptions.scdr@gmail.com and let us know you are interested in adopting her. Story
Alofo is a 6 year old miniature Aussie. He is in a foster home. This is what the foster had to say: Al is friendly with other dogs. Once settled in he likes his bath. Needs brushed a few times a week with his beautiful long hair. Doesn't mind grooming with clippers. Has not been to groomer but has no problem with foster mom and dad grooming him. He prefers to lay in his bed during the day. Plays with toys and his dog sister sometimes too. Starting to warm up to his people and will approach and take food/treats from their hand. Fast movements by people scare him and he sometimes barks when people enter the house. The barking may be due in part to his dog sister. During the day he goes out side to potty. Sometimes likes to mark new territory that is placed in his environment. No kennel accidents. Has used pee pad at night at times. He prefers to sleep in kennel at night with door closed though. Kennel is put up during the day so he lays in bed on floor. Does not get on furniture unless human puts him on chair or couch. Will set with humans on couch and relax. I always talk to him and approach him slowly before picking him up. Have no problem picking him up. He lets me love on him. Has done very well at his vet visits. Likes to eat food in kennel during the night. His sister is somewhat intrusive and gets in his kennel and eats his food. He lets her. He does not like the leash, refuses to walk on leash and try's to get away from it. He will follow you wherever you go outside or if you call him without the leash. Initially was Houdini and would remove his collar in seconds. Now leaves collar on and doesn't try to remove it. He makes sure everyone is ready to go back in before he goes into the house. He herds his people and dog sister back into the house after each trip outside and patiently waits if he is done but others are not ready. Alofo has been neutered and is current on microchips. He is heartworm negative. He has been microchipped. Alofo's adoption fee is $325.00. If you are a preapproved adopter and interested, email secondchancedogrescueofiowa@gmail.com to let us know. If you are not preapproved, you will need to complete an adoption application at http://www.secondchancedogrescueofiowa.com Thank you!

He is very sweet - likes to cuddle. He gets along with my other dogs. He would love a yard to run. He does pull when walking. He hasn't been around kids or cats.
