Story
Rosie showed up at my house a little over a year ago. I took her in while I put her on social media hoping to find her owner. Nobody claimed her so she became a member of the family. The vet thinks she is around 3-4 years old. I have had her in the house and breezeway for over a year. I do not want her in the house any longer. I think she would make a great outside dog. She is super cuddly and a very sweet dog. She does well with kids and my other dog. She loves being outside and playing. She requires a lot of attention and a close eye kept on her as she likes to get on a scent and wander. I gave her an amazing life for the last year but am not ready to have an outside dog right now.

Story
9 year old female Black Lab Mix named Willow we are looking to rehome. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she has been loved all of her life. Unfortunately, with our growing family we are having a hard time finding time for her and want her to have the best life for her remaining years. We have a 2 year old daughter and a new born boy now. She hasn't been a issue around either but she does like her space. Our 2 year has a hard time giving her the space she wants and I fear she may end up biting her. I don't believe she ever would, but she has shown signs that she is uncomfortable. Willow is microchipped and has had all vaccines up until this last year. She gets simparica trio each month and has never had any health issues other than an eye infection that was resolved when she was around 3.

Story
Otis was adopted as a puppy from a local family in Riverside 6 years ago. Otis has been through different phases of life and has adopted well. Went from being a second pet to by himself due to his brother passing away from age. Went from two loving parents to a full family of five. As he has done well going through the changes, the family has not. With unexpected changes, the family is unable to give the love and attention that Otis deserves. He used to go for sprint runs, long walks and dog parks, to even cuddling on the couch for long hours on movie nights. No matter the mood, Otis adapts to the activities the family wants to do. Otis needs a home that has time to give him all the love and attention that he deserves. Otis is currently in a home with three children but has been the only pet for the past 5 years. He has had interactions with cats and dogs and has gotten along, he can just be shy at first. Otis really enjoys all humans and is always excited for new friends.

Story
Delilah was adopted from CVHS in October of 2018. We got her as a companion for my other dog is around her same age, she will be turning 9 years old this year. She is a very sweet and cuddly dog who loves being with her person. She will give you all the cuddles and kisses even when you don’t need one! She is definitely a lover girl who also really enjoys water. She loves jumping in our baby pool and taking a nice dip and relaxing. She is very energetic and would require daily walks to keep her from going crazy lol. Unfortunately, we have learned since having our first child that she is not very comfortable around smaller children and that she needs all the attention. She is best suited for someone with other children who can give her the care and attention she needs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juliette! She is looking for a forever home where she can have time to settle in and be herself. She is quite timid and will require a secure, fenced in back yard to run in. We don't know everything about Juliette's background but she is sensitive to having her collar touched and tends to drop to the ground if you go to grab her collar. Despite being a little shy, she is a very playful dog and would do well with another canine friend to live with. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and plays very well with her 7 pound foster sibling. Juliette had not been cat tested so we are not sure how she would do in a home with other cats. She is potty trained and kennel trained. She loves her kennel and prefers to be in there when home alone because she is pretty anxious. Juliette does have some minor resource guarding and does not like if other dogs get near her food bowl so it is best to separate her into her kennel for feeding times. Juliette's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, as well as a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Juliette, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, www.adopthope.org. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am
