Story
Omega is a very friendly, happy 13 month old puppy. He is very smart and sweet. Loves people and kids. Is crate trained, will go to his crate as soon as you tell him"go to bed". He is potty trained and is used to living in doors. He loves his belly rubbed and playing fetch and tug of war. He will sit there while you fill his food bowl and not touch it until you say ok. His release command is "leave it". He does not get along with other animals, but is very trainable and that could be worked on. He would do good in a home with active people and kids, with no other pets. He does not bark allot and loves attention. He is very calm for a puppy. Has lived in my house for a year almost with a 6, 10 and 16 year old. Very sweet and am sad to have to get rid of him. He is the best dog I've ever owned.

Story
We found Mickey dumped in a field, estimate age when found 4 months old. He is now going on a year old. All his shots are up to date. His vetenarian is Shepherdsville Animal Clinic. We believe him to have been abused. He is a very sweet dog.Loves to cuddle and is not high energy. We have two other german shpeherds, and we thought 3 would be ok, but it is too much to handle. The first one we got is a working line german shepherd. He requires a lot of our time, going through intense K9 training. Mickey has got out of the yard and been aggressive towards neighbor. He did nip one neighbor on the leg, just a scratch. We then put him in training with the K9 handler to figure out what was causing this. He has been in training for few months, taking him to Lowes, socializing him, working on his obedience, and behavior. He is doing a lot better in public, but will need to be leashed and continued training.

Story
We got Sage as a new puppy from a legitimate breeder when she was only around a couple of months old. She is newly 4 years old. We potty trained her and took as good a care of her as we could, but due to personal circumstances we just haven’t had the time to provide Sage with the activity level and love that she deserves. She loves her people and is very energetic. Her mom is struggling with rehoming but is also aware that it needs to be done as it will be better for Sage if she can find a good home that has the time to play with her. She is a very active and excitable dog and I’m sure she’ll take to anybody quickly that treats her well. She does have a sensitive stomach so requires sensitive foods.

Story
This is Rufus, he is a 1.5 year old American English Coonhound/Mountain Cur mix. He is currently right at 50lbs. We adopted him when he was about 4 months old. We had hoped he would be a companion for our older dog, but their personalities do not align. We would prefer to do a meet and greet with any potential doggy siblings before going to a new home. He is the sweetest boy and loves to snuggle with his humans. He’s extremely intelligent and recently completed a 3-week board and train program. Rufus is house-trained, crate-trained, and can walk in a perfect heel. He would thrive in a home with a big yard or on a farm where he has lots of room to roam.

German Shepherd Dog

Male, Adult
Mount Washington, KY
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Jax was born near Fort Knox with lots of brothers and sisters. He comes from three generations of purebred German Shepherds, but without the paperwork. We picked him due to his energetic personality, curiosity, and food drive. He was busy eating the whole bowl of food while his siblings were playing. We worked with him everyday for 1 year reinforcing the basics. Sit, down, stay, come, fetch, and bed (place). He does these commands without treats but still recommend ongoing training which is standard for the breed. He is very food driven so that makes training a bit easier. He is an amazing dog and I can’t give him the time, exercise, and training he deserves anymore. He is shy at first and needs to be accustomed to visitors or other animals. He loves playing fetch with a ball in the yard, training new commands, head and belly rubs, and really just loves being your best friend.
