Story
Charlie has been with us since he was 6 weeks old, and he turned 6 years old this past June. He is an outside dog. My husband passed away this past September. I have to sell my house. Where I am going, they don't allow outside dogs. We tried bringing him inside to stay, but he wouldn't eat or drink. He just sat and looked outside. I would love to see him with a new family that will love him as we do. When looking at his pictures, you will notice that he doesn't have much hair on his tail. This past summer, I wasn't aware that we had a patch of poison ivy next to our garage. Until I saw him lying in it. The hair on one side of his body came back, but for some reason, it hasn't on his tail. I pray the right family will adopt him. Thank You

Story
This is Rufus, he is a 1.5 year old American English Coonhound/Mountain Cur mix. He is currently right at 50lbs. We rescued him when he was about 4 months old. We had hoped he would be a companion for our older dog, but we’ve been experiencing issues with resource guarding. Due to this we would recommend he go to a home with no other dogs. He is the sweetest boy and loves to snuggle with his humans. He’s extremely intelligent and recently completed a 3-week board and train program. Rufus is house-trained, crate-trained, and can walk in a perfect heel. He would thrive in a home with a big yard or on a farm where he has lots of room to roam, and with a family that has an active lifestyle.

Story
♥️🐾ADOPT GYPSY🐾♥️ 📍 Located in Cincinnati, OH Gypsy may be petite at just 50 lbs, but her heart, personality, and enthusiasm are anything but small. This sweet red girl is full of love, curiosity, and playful energy. She has a knack for stealing hearts in seconds. Gypsy is super curious and leads life with joy and excitement. When meeting new dogs, she comes in hot with happy energy, think hugs, high-fives, and enthusiastic play. She does best with tolerant, playful large-breed companions who can handle her puppy antics and are equally happy to relax afterward. She would also be perfectly content as an only dog with plenty of attention and enrichment. With her people, Gypsy is an absolute snuggle bug. She adores human attention, has a special soft spot for her foster dad, and considers couch cuddles a top-tier activity. She’s affectionate, goofy, and always ready to make you laugh. ✨ What Gypsy Needs in a Forever Home: • A family willing to continue her training—she learns at her own pace and benefits from patience and structure • A playful dog sibling or a home where she can soak up all the love as an only dog • A cat-savvy home only—Gypsy thinks cats want to play, may chase if they run, and was deeply offended when a kitty once swatted her • Kids 15+, as she’s still very mouthy and full of puppy energy • A fully fenced yard for safe playtime Gypsy has adjusted beautifully to crate life and does great once settled into a routine. Her favorite nightly ritual includes winding down with a stuffed Kong, and she loves Nylabones for chewing and relaxing. 🩺 Gypsy does have a short history of seizures. She had one episode prior to rescue and has been seizure-free since starting medication, which she takes twice daily. She’s doing wonderfully and enjoying her best puppy life. Gypsy is truly a special girl who will thrive in a home that offers patience, consistency, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, slightly goofy companion who’s ready to blossom, Gypsy might be your perfect match. 📍 Gypsy is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Out-of-state adopters are welcome but must meet Gypsy in person to finalize adoption. 👉 Apply for Gypsy on our website: www.bluegrassdobermanrescue.org
