Story
Gino is a 2 year old red/tan Dachshund. He is purebred, but doesn’t have papers. He was acquired from a breeder in Winnemucca. He is friendly, cuddly, playful, loves squeaky toys, and being with his person. Problem is, his person is a young adult who currently doesn’t have time for him and it’s not fair to him. He does have allergies and would likely require monthly maintenance on allergy medication. We are working on house training. We wears a male wrap when inside. I think he could he could be house-trained if his new person spent the time to frequently take him out and praise him. Right now, his person just isn’t putting his needs above their own. When he does pee in his diaper/wrap, he will tear it off, tear it up, may even eat some of the pieces. He gets along with other dogs and cats. But, he is sensitive to firm demands and discipline. He sometimes yips when going to pick him up or change his diaper/wrap. He is a very nice and has the potential to be a great dog.

Story
Honey is about 18 months old, 48 lbs and has been with us for nearly six months as a rescue. She is a great dog, extremely playful and intelligent and gets along with all dogs big and small. She is truly gentle and diplomatic with all dogs. She loves kids, the dog park, wrestling, chasing, tug-o-war, teasing and being teased. She's quiet, curious, not at all hyper, but confident. She needs a home and family who is active and can give her the physical activity she needs, but she also needs a home with a fence at least six feet tall. Honey also has lost an eye to glaucoma. It has not slowed her down a bit. She is a great dog who just needs a home that can match her needs. She’ll come with any toys and tools needed -- harness, leash, crate, bed, puzzles, lure and chase game, etc. She also loves squash and sweet potatoes, and she stays off the furniture. :-) We are holding on extra long because she deserves a good home, but we are running out of time with her.

Story
Our Tyson is a 3 year old (October 3rd is his birthday!) full blood pittie. He is like any other pit, loving, loves snuggles, walks, treats, parks, you name it!! He knows some basics commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it, take it, and wait. He is house broken, kennel trained, muzzle trained, fixed and chipped. He’s the world’s biggest scaredy cat too! Lol all them muscles and hims scared of the dark. He’s vocal and loves any and all attention! He’s quite the character and he’s very much loved in this household. The reason we are rehoming him is simple… Tyson does not get along with other dogs (specifically males and little dogs). Tyson has never been around cats or any other animals and we are unsure how he would react to them. Tyson will need an experienced owner and preferably not of elder age as we did have an incident recently where he trampled our grandmother and was forced into bite quarantine at the local human society.

UPDATE: DAWG will be covering Husk's TPLO surgery post adoption through Shelter Medical! Let's find this boy his forever home and get him on to the road to recovery!!! 🐾 Meet Husk! 🐾 Husk is a handsome 9-year-old senior Husky looking for a loving home to spend his golden years 💙 This sweet boy has lived successfully with another female Husky and would do well with the right canine companion. However, Husk will need a cat-free home. He enjoys his walks and is a great leash buddy! Husk did have TPLO surgery in 2022, and while he’s doing well, he currently favors his other leg—so he’s on light duty to keep him happy and healthy. Despite that, Husk is still full of love and charm. He’s a gentle, affectionate guy who just wants a cozy place to call home 🏡 ✨ Fun fact: Husk LOVES sardines! 🐟 If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet soul, Husk might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see for yourself! 🐶💕
