Story
Meet Daphne and Velma ??? Meet Velma & Daphne — the Halloween Huskies! ??? Straight out of a spooky Scooby-Doo adventure, this dynamic duo was found running side by side, covered in fleas — but don’t worry, they’ve since been treated and are now flea-free and fabulous! ?? These 4-year-old beauties are classic huskies through and through: high energy, full of personality, and always ready for their next great mystery (or run). ? They’re on the lookout for active families who can give them the exercise, structure, and training they need to thrive. ? About the girls: • Around 4 years old • High energy & adventurous • Did well with other dogs • Likely will chase cats (too much fun to resist!) • Great with kids, but sometimes forget how big they are • Need husky-savvy families ready for lots of movement, structure, and love ?? These girls would love a big yard to run in or a jogging buddy to keep them busy. If you’ve got the energy to keep up with this spunky pair, Velma & Daphne will reward you with endless love, laughs, and loyalty. ?? Adopt them and make this Halloween the start of their happily ever after! ??

Story
Max's Story Meet Max 🐾 — our goofy, lovable hound who is SO ready for freedom! Max is a ~3-year-old male hound who is neutered and completely OVER kennel life. He came to us as a stray with a microchip, but sadly, no owner ever came for him. The kennel environment scares him, and he doesn’t show his best self behind the bars. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers getting him out as much as possible, we’ve already seen improvement — but Max truly needs a home (or foster) soon so he can fully decompress and thrive. Once he’s out of the cage, Max is an entirely different dog. He is: • Loose, wiggly, and full of joy • Playful with toys and always ready for fun • Insanely dog-friendly — he recently met a dog who tried to bite him, and Max simply didn’t care… he just wanted to keep playing • Cat-tolerant • A total lovebug who doesn’t understand personal space and would happily live inside your skin Max is jumpy, wiggly, and a big leaner, so we recommend a home with older, sturdier kids who won’t be easily knocked over by his enthusiastic affection. His bags are packed 🎒 His heart is wide open ❤️ And he is READY to bust out of here for good. Please share Max’s post to help him find the home he deserves — the kennel is no place for a boy this sweet. 🐶✨ 💌 Adoption application: https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption- Show more

Story
Leroy's Story 🐾 Meet Leroy! 🐾 This 7-month-old American Bulldog mix is truly the cutest little guy around 💙 At 37 lbs, Leroy is a growing boy with a heart of gold and a whole lot of love to give. ✨ About Leroy: • Male, 7 months old • Sweetheart personality • Loves toys 🧸 • Enjoys everyone he meets • Pretty easy walker on leash • Tested fine with cats 🐱 • Would do great with kids 👧🧒 Leroy is still a puppy and will need continued training and manners, but he’s eager to learn and very lovable. When it comes to other dogs, he can be selective—he wasn’t a fan of a super playful, high-energy dog but did much better with a low-key, calm dog who respected his space. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, affectionate pup who just needs some guidance and structure, Leroy might be your guy 🐶💙 📩 Get your applications in! https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Blaki's Story Meet Blaki 🐾 Blaki is a stunning husky mix, male, about 80 lbs of pure love and personality. He came to us with a microchip, but sadly his owner never came for him—so now he’s ready for a brand-new chapter. This high-energy boy is built for adventure. Long hikes, beach walks, exploring new trails—whatever you’re into, Blaki will happily be your walking buddy. He is strong on leash, so a confident, experienced handler is a must. Despite his size, Blaki truly believes he’s a lap dog. He will lean all 80 lbs into you for hugs, shower you with a million kisses, and make sure you never feel unloved. He’s a lover, not a fighter through and through. ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Good with kids, but due to his jumpy enthusiasm, we recommend children who are steady on their feet ❌ No cats—he’d prefer a feline-free home Blaki’s giant heart just hasn’t caught up with his giant body yet, and he doesn’t always realize his own strength. What he does know is how to love HARD. Someone take this hunk of love home and give him the forever family he deserves! ❤️🐺 💌 Adoption application: https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50
