Story
Meet Walter – Your Loyal Companion in the Making Walter is a sweet and lovable dog who’s looking for his perfect match. Recently surrendered by his previous owner, he’s currently with us being fostered. Walter is house-trained, crate-trained, and does very well on walks. He’s incredibly affectionate with people and has the potential to be a wonderful, loyal companion. However, due to a lack of early socialization, he can be reactive around other dogs and would do best as the only pet in a home without children. He’s currently working with a trainer and is showing progress, but he’ll need an experienced adopter who is patient, committed, and willing to continue helping him build confidence and social skills. Our family took Walter in under unexpected circumstances and, while we care deeply for him, our schedule doesn’t allow us to give him the full attention he deserves long-term. Walter is ready to bond deeply with someone who can provide structure, love, and time. In the right ho

Atlas is a quite impressive and loyal shepherd he has just arrived here along with a few others and is sorting out his new predicament. He has been on a few walks and is more of the stoic guardian type. He knows sit and paw and at this point not interested in toys but the potential is there, once he realizes that he has to move on.

Story
Update: As of today, I am taking a road trip to the rescue's Prison Program! I can't wait to see what's in store for me there. I won't be back for 4 weeks though... but I come home on July 15th! I can't wait to see you guys when I'm home!! ----- Bunni is the ideal match for the true German Shepherd enthusiast. With her classic coloring, smaller frame, and striking good looks, she’s the picture of breed perfection. But Bunni is more than just a pretty face—she’s got that timeless Shepherd spirit: intelligent, loyal, and just a little bit particular. She doesn’t give her heart away easily—but once you're in her circle, you’re in for life. Bunni is the kind of dog who watches closely, reads your cues, and tries her best to get it right—cycling through her “moves” until she lands on the one that earns your smile. It’s her own special brand of devotion. Serious-minded and thoughtful, Bunni will thrive in a home that appreciates her depth and respects her loyalty. If you're looking for a steadfast, no-nonsense companion with a heart of gold underneath it all, Bunni just might be your perfect match.

Story
Update: Hello, prospective adopters! I am back from the prison program, but my handler didn't have my write-up ready yet. Gotta make sure it catches my good side, right? Our volunteer will give an update when we receive the write-ups on the dogs. Thank you for your patience. ----- Harley could be viewed as one of the more misunderstood dogs here but really she is the eternal puppy in her growing adult body. She can be motivated by treats and is very loving and has even been in with male dogs that she seems to play off of nicely. She would be a trainers dream a and a real notch in their belt in terms of capturing focus and molding the individual. She certainly likes her walks and interactions with all the volunteers, and may be selected to join into the structured socialization program at a nearby prison . I other than that she is a happy girl that is fun to be around.

Update: Belladonna, formerly Bella, is currently off-site with one of the rescue's affiliated trainers and is unavailable for adoption at this time. Once Belladonna has completed her training course, we will post her updates. If you're an approved adopter interested in her; your application will be forwarded to the trainer and they will be in contact with you about setting up an appointment. ----- Bella is a blend of unbridled energy and affection. She also likes toys and of course, her walks. A toy will take second place to walk so she does have her priorities set. We have her solo for the most part combining her with another dog may be a little bit too much at this stage but for the time being she is enjoying the other parts of her day and her walks when she can get them. She has become much more of a trusting soul and is leaving her past behind after a shy start.
