**Hi! I'm Poppy 🌺🐾** Just like my name, I think life is better with a little sunshine. If you ask me what my perfect day looks like, it starts outside. I love feeling the breeze, exploring the yard, sniffing all the interesting smells, and finding the perfect sunny spot to stretch out and watch the world go by. The outdoors is definitely my happy place. I'm a sweet, friendly girl who enjoys spending time with my people. Whether we're wandering around the property, relaxing on the porch, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon together, I'm happiest when I'm close to the people I love. I think I'd be happy in a home with a room to roam—maybe a place in the country where I can enjoy nature and all the sights and sounds that come with it. Basically, I'm Poppy—a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of fresh air, and a whole lot of love waiting for the right home. 🐾 **If you're interested in adopting me, please apply online to be considered:** 👉 [https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog] 🏡 **Open Hours:** Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Come meet me—I think we'll both know when we've found home. 🌺💕

Story
Meet Sabrina🐾 Sabrina is the kind of dog who makes you believe in soulmates. With her warm eyes and gentle heart, she has a way of making everyone she meets feel special. She loves to play—a good toy toss or a game of chase will always bring out her happy wiggles—but she’s just as content to curl up beside you for some quiet time and snuggles. What makes Sabrina truly shine is her balance of energy and affection. She’s spirited enough to enjoy walks, adventures, or backyard playtime, yet calm enough to savor lazy afternoons by your side. Sabrina is also incredibly food-motivated, which makes her a quick and eager learner—always ready to show off her progress for a tasty reward. Sabrina comes fully vetted, kennel trained, and leash trained, giving her a wonderful head start in her forever home. She’s attended professional training to polish her manners and skills, and she’s making fantastic strides. With her combination of smarts, structure, and sweetness, she’s ready to slot right into a loving routine. Beyond her playful spirit and training, Sabrina’s greatest gift is the way she bonds with her people. She’s loyal, affectionate, and happiest when she’s included in daily life—whether that’s morning coffee on the porch, an afternoon walk, or a cozy movie night. She’s also a big fan of “doggie days out,” especially when a pup cup is involved! Sabrina has been patiently waiting for the right family to notice her. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your days with love, laughter, and loyalty, Sabrina is ready to meet you. 💛 Sabrina’s Ideal Home: 💫 Best as the only dog (no cats, please) 🎓 Professionally trained and eager to please 🐶 Fully vetted, kennel trained, and leash trained ☀️ Loves outings, pup cups, and quality time with her people ❤️ Does best with structure, affection, and companionship

Story
My name is PennyLu. I was adopted back in the winter as a cute, tiny pup. Sadly, my folks weren't ready for a puppy, and here I am, back at the Humane Society, at 10 months old. I am a beautiful brown mixed breed. I might be a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix; I'm a big girl! My heart is as big as my paws. I have a very sweet demeanor, but I am honestly terrified here. I don't enjoy the loud sounds and commotion of humane society life. I would really benefit from a home where I could gain some confidence and come out of my shell! Please know that I am still just a baby despite my size. I'm incredibly intelligent! I am housetrained and crate trained. I'd love to have a couple of canine pals or even some human kiddos to play with! I have not been cat-tested, but that could be arranged. I am fully vetted. I have been spayed and microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.00. If interested in giving me a loving, permanent home, don't hesitate to apply! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog

Story
**Meet Asher 🐾** Asher is a big, handsome young dog with a friendly personality and a lot of potential. At just over a year old, he’s still growing into himself and learning how to navigate the world, but he already enjoys people, activity, and being part of a routine. He does well meeting new people and enjoys outings like walks and time spent exploring. While he’s not especially toy-driven, he stays engaged through interaction and benefits from regular exercise and structured activity. Asher is also **very food-motivated**, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. Asher has received some basic obedience training and responds well to a **confident handler** who can provide clear guidance. He can be excitable at times and may pull on leash, but he looks to his person for direction and continues to make progress with consistency. He currently attends doggy daycare and enjoys playing and socializing with **female dogs**. He is best suited for a home without male dogs, as he can become uncomfortable around them. Dog parks are not recommended, but he can do well in more structured, controlled social settings. Asher is accustomed to grooming and tolerates **baths, brushing, nail trims, and professional grooming** well. He will require regular brushing (2–3 times per week) to maintain his coat. He is also prone to ear infections in one ear, so routine ear care will be important. With cats, Asher shows curiosity but tends to be cautious. He may be able to coexist with a **dog-savvy cat** who maintains boundaries, though supervision and a thoughtful introduction process will be important. Asher’s ideal home will provide **structure, routine, and confident handling**, along with opportunities for continued training and engagement. He is a dog who benefits from clear leadership and consistency, and in return offers a friendly, social presence and a willingness to learn. 📌 **Courtesy Post:** Asher is not an AHHS program animal. He is being shared to help him find a home, and placement will be handled directly with his current owner. 🐾 **If you’re interested in adopting Asher, please apply online to be considered:** 👉 [https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog]💛

Hi, I'm Dunkin! ☕🐾 Yep, just like the coffee—and I'm the perfect pick-me-up for anyone looking for a fun, loyal best friend! I'm an active, playful guy who loves to stay on the move. Whether it's a game of fetch, a long walk, exploring new places, or just zooming around the yard, I'm always up for an adventure. After I've burned off some energy, I'm more than happy to kick back and relax by your side. People are my favorite. I love meeting new friends, soaking up attention, and being included in whatever you're doing. If you're looking for a dog who wants to be part of the family and your daily routine, I'm your guy. When it comes to other animals, I'd do best as your one-and-only pup, and I'll need a home without cats. I'd rather focus all my love and attention on my people—and trust me, I have plenty to give. If you're searching for a playful companion, an adventure buddy, and a loyal friend who's always ready to make your day a little brighter, I think we might be the perfect match. Come meet me—I can't wait to be your favorite part of the day! 🐾 **If you’re interested in adopting me, please apply online to be considered:** 👉 [https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog] 🏡 **Open Hours:** Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Come meet me — I’m the pick-me-up you didn’t know you needed. ☕💛
