Story
If your 2026 goal is to be more active, Paddy could be your perfect adventure sidekick. Paddy loves water: streams, lakes, rivers, water hoses. Full of personality and very curious, she is always up for a hike or a walk, then eagerly cuddles and soaks all your attention. She has striking blue eyes and a gorgeous coat, weighs 38 pounds and stands 19 inches at the shoulder. Paddy is a favorite with staff at doggie day care and plays well with the littles. She would do really well as an only dog, or with a confident dog. She is still a young, active dog and needs exercise. She may even be a good candidate for agility classes. She is crate trained, house trained, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on shots. From her DNA test results she is Australian shepherd mix, Border Collie, and Husky. She was born December 7, 2023. Located in foster home in Boise Idaho, transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest. Email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com for Paddy!

Story
Welcome Savannah into rescue. Savannah came from a hoarding/breeding situation in Utah, she is a Morkie (Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix), at 7.8 pounds, around 12-24 months old. She has more bounce, energy then 10 little dogs! Savannah has a mind of her own and will let you know what she wants with her sharp little barks. Contrary to their diminutive frame, information on this mix of breed. Morkies possess a huge personality. Their cuddly and loving nature might make them look like little toys. Still, these Terrier crosses are just as spunky, fearless, and attention-loving as their parent line. Incredibly attached to their master, they are content to be wherever they are and can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone. Thus, they generally do better in single-pet homes. Their tiny size and medium energy make them excellent apartment pets. They make brilliant watchdogs, alerting with loud barks the moment a stranger is detected. However, this tendency to be yappy can quickly become troublesome for neighbors, so proper training is vital. Despite their bright temperament and playfulness, it is essential to note that they are very fragile. One must be especially careful around younger kids, who might accidentally injure them while playing. Thus, avoiding getting one for households with toddlers and young children is better. Ensure you don’t step on them by mistake and check sofas and beds before sitting or lying down. Morkies may not shed much but require daily vigorous brushing to prevent tangles and mats in their long, silky hair. A good alternative is to get them professionally groomed in a puppy cut to make their coat manageable. It is best to get this done every few months as their hair grows constantly. Excess fringe over the eyes can be fastened with hair clips for a pleasant look. Bath them every couple weeks or whenever they are dirty, check their ears for dirt and infections, and trim their nails as needed. Being prone to tooth problems, you must practice proper dental hygiene with regular brushing. Fenced secure yard, or walking on a leash, no dog parks with large dogs present recommended. Savannah is 90% housetrained, is ok in a crate, though prefers sleeping with her person. Her vetting will be completed prior to adoption. Located in southern Idaho, transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest. Email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com ask for Savannah.

Story
My name is Stanlee, I am an Adorable 4-month-old, 5 ½ pound Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix. I am the happiest little guy with lots of puppy energy. I love to play with all the different foster dogs, big and small, although some of the bigger dogs mow me over when everyone is doing zoomies. I am a tiny little guy with a Huge personality! I am still a puppy, so I like to chew-chew-chew, my foster mom makes sure I have plenty of chew/squeaky toys around to play with. I am also a Curious puppy who loves to explore. I am crate trained however I prefer to sleep with you. I know how to use a doggie door and am almost completely potty trained. I love to rough house with my sibling Jager, who is also looking for his forever home, but love to snuggle in your lap. I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped and will be neutered before adoption. I haven’t been around any cats so my foster mom is not sure if I am ok with them. Located in southern Idaho, transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest. Story
Hearing the back story on Fancy Pants, the rescue did not hesitate to take him under our wing. Fancy Pants is a mini schnauzer mix, he is about 7-8 years old, under 25 pounds, found himself in a shelter where the owner wanted him back just to have him euthanized. Fancy Pants was extremely underweight and showed signs of neglect. The rescue wanted to give Fancy Pants every chance to have a better life. First step getting him healthy, he will need a dental, as at this time can only eat soft food, & neuter, update vaccines, prior to adoption. Fancy Pants still loves people, he wants someone's lap to sit in and be loved on. He deserves to be pampered in his remaining years.
