Story
Meet Bunny! Adorable Bunny is one of four pups in our Powerpuff Girls group. She and the other members of the Powerpuff Girls were removed from a hoarding situation. A local shelter asked for our help with these young puppies, and we were happy to take them into our rescue. I mean, who could resist this face? Bunny is a white Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier mix with a fuzzy muzzle and warm, friendly eyes who will be a small dog when grown. Likely born early February of 2026, Bunny is underweight due to her previous living situation and is getting the nutrition and attention she needs to reach a healthy weight. Bunny also has a double row of teeth, so she will be having some pulled in conjunction with her spay surgery on 6/18. We are taking applications for Bunny, and she able to go home with an adopter a few days after her surgery. This loving and playful puppy is currently in a foster home getting lots of attention, cuddling, and playtime. Bunny is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home. Want to learn more about Bunny? Fill out an inquiry or application form today! **Puppies this young cannot be left alone more than a few hours at a time. Please only apply if you can be home with your puppy or can make arrangements for the puppy’s care. Ready to adopt? Now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at: www.lilaccitypupproject.org. Our adoption team will spring into action! You will have a phone call conversation with a dedicated adoption counselor, and the adoption team will contact your vet(s), if applicable. Once you have been matched with a dog, a meet and greet will be set up and take place at the foster family's home. After the meet and greet, there will be a home inspection and in-home trial prior to adoption finalization. Lilac City Pup Project is entirely volunteer and foster run, with no kennel facility. Only approved adoption applicants will be able to meet our dogs outside of adoption events. Adoption Donations: $350 for Puppies up to 9 months $300 for Adults 9 months or older *includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, and microchip. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Lilac City Pup Project is a federal 501c3 organization. Not sure you want to adopt, foster first and adopt later! LCPP is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. LCPP covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide love and a soft place to crash. At Lilac City Pup Project we strive to better the lives of vulnerable dogs through rescue, foster, and adoption services; educate dog owners and empower them to build successful human/canine relationships; and support the local community by partnering with shelters facing overcrowding and limited resources. LCPP is organized exclusively for public, charitable, and/or educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. LCPP is a Nonprofit organization formed in Washington State in April 2025, by passionate dog lovers. One hundred percent (100%) of every dollar goes to furthering our tax-exempt purpose. Story
Meet Porcupine! He and his siblings were found (presumably dumped) out in Eastern Washington on an excavation site. These pups have had a rough go of it so far - when they came to us they were covered in ticks, fleas and wounds. This pup was also found with porcupine quills in his face - hence the name! They were not very trustworthy of people upon arrival (understabably so), but have come out of there shell in only the first few days. These pups have thrived around other dogs and we would recommend them to go a home with a resident dog in it in order to work on confidence.  ##2762925##

Story
Dog Name: PhilipAge: 8 months oldGender: MaleWeight: 7.6 kgs / 16.7 lbsBreed: Wire Fox Terrier Health Neutered Vaccinated Heartworm Negative Compatibility Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Older, dog-savvy children recommended Good with cats: No Training & Habits Leash trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes — keeps his area clean and adjusts quickly to household routines Crate trained: Yes Living Situation Philip is currently living in a foster home in the Pacific Northwest alongside other dogs, where he continues to build confidence and learn daily routines. He enjoys playtime, exploration, and being part of a pack. He does well sharing space with other dogs and has shown that he enjoys both companionship and quiet downtime. Temperament & Personality Philip – A Sweet, Sensitive Boy Looking for Understanding Philip is an intelligent, affectionate, and playful 8-month-old puppy with a lot of potential. He loves treats, enjoys learning, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. Once he feels safe, his goofy and loving personality begins to shine. While Philip is social with familiar people and dogs, he can be cautious and overwhelmed in new situations. He is still learning that the world is a safe place and needs time to build trust before being introduced to new people and environments. Because of this, Philip is looking for a family that understands the importance of patience, structure, and allowing a dog to settle in at his own pace. Philip's Ideal Home Philip would do best in a calm, slower-paced home that can give him the time and space he needs to decompress after adoption. He is not the type of dog who will thrive being immediately introduced to lots of visitors, busy social gatherings, or constant activity. A home with a predictable routine, patient adopters, and a commitment to positive reinforcement training will help Philip continue to gain confidence. Another friendly, well-balanced dog could be beneficial, but it is not required. His future family should be prepared to keep his circle small at first and allow him to settle in gradually. With time, consistency, and understanding, Philip has shown that he can build strong relationships and become a devoted companion. Rescue Story Philip was originally adopted by a young family when he was just 2 months old. Sadly, due to unexpected medical issues within the household, they were no longer able to keep a dog and reached out for help to ensure Philip's safety. When Philip first arrived in foster care, he was unsure of the world around him and often responded to unfamiliar people and situations with fear. Since then, he has made tremendous progress. With patience, structure, and guidance, he has gained confidence and continues to show more of his loving personality every day. Like many young dogs who have experienced change and uncertainty, Philip will need a family committed to continuing his journey and helping him feel secure as he adjusts to a new home. Location Currently fostered in the Pacific Northwest and ready to meet potential adopters. Adoption Fee $600 Apply to adopt: www.northwestwagrescue.org Philip is looking for a patient family willing to give him the gift of time. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who is ready to continue growing, learning, and loving. ##2701753##
