Like many adolescent dogs, Bob's brain cells need a bit more time to mature - at the moment he's a chaotic teenager, but he has all the makings of a fantastic dog! Bob is an enthusiastic 50-ish pound puppy, and he thinks everyone is his best friend! He is friendly and playful with people, and over the top obsessed with playing with dog friends. He has learned some really great lessons in his foster home, like "not all dogs want to play with you all the time" and "did you know it's possible to just hang out with other dogs without constantly wrestling??" He also really really wants to be friends with cats, but cats don't appreciate wrestling with 50 lb dogs, so we're looking for a cat-free home for this boyo. He would probably love children like he loves everything else, which means any kids in his adoptive home would need to pass the "can you stay upright when Bob hits you with his extremely long wagging tail" test. Jokes aside, Bob is going to make an active person or family VERY happy. Bob loves learning tricks and he would be a great candidate for dog sports like agility - he is built like an athlete and is very food motivated and eager to learn new things. In his foster home he mostly works on sit, down, stay, and walking nicely on a leash, and he is great at all of those things! His perfect home would be one that is excited to do various activities with him. He's game for anything! Bob is at an age where he really needs boundaries and structure in his life, as well as exercise and mental stimulation. High energy dogs like Bob often need to be taught how to relax, and this boy is no exception. He is great at settling in his crate for long periods of time, but he still needs reminders that he can lay down and relax outside of his crate too. He has made great progress on this in his foster home; he just needs an adoptive home that will continue helping him learn to balance activity with relaxing.
