Name: Bucket Breeds: German Shepherd Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Large Bucket is a goofy name for a goofy pup! This German Shepherd is gorgeous, outgoing, social, and just a little bit naughty. Well, he's not naughty so much as he has never been taught manners or how to play appropriately. Bucket loves people, cannot get enough of people, but his love often is shown in jumping all over, bouncing off, and mouthing. This was probably adorable when he was a little puppy and his owners never corrected it and even encouraged it. But from a 70 lb and growing dog, it's more painful than adorable. Bucket is not at all mean or aggressive, he is untrained and it shows. The progress he has made in learning appropriate interactions in even a week is outstanding and we know he will be an incredible dog for someone who puts the time into training him. He already has an exceptional temperament and his potential is sky high. Bucket LOVES the water and the kiddie pools, loves toys, and is learning that fetch is way more fun when you bring the ball back to be thrown again. He is very friendly with other dogs but very overbearing so will need a home who will monitor interactions and separate to make sure the other dog is not overwhelmed by him. He is not good with cats. Due to his mouthy behavior he should not be placed with kids. He is doing well on his housetraining and cratetraining with a schedule and repetition. If you have the patience, time, and experience to put some training in, Bucket is going to be amazing. As with all dogs under 2, he is required to be signed up for a basic training class prior to adoption to set everyone up for success Requirements: Training sign up required. No cats. She has come a long way from the dog who was 30 lbs on intake and is now a healthy 55 lbs. She takes a bit to come out of her shell with new people and places but once she settles in her puppy side shines through! She loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and chasing toys around the yard. She would love another large breed dog to play with. Her confidence grows exponentially with another dog to follow. She can be a bit of a pushy player so best with a dog who doesn't mind a little overexhuberance, however she does back off very well to a correction from dog or human. Siren is learning the housetraining and crates well. She uses the crate as her safe space when she is nervous or overwhelmed and is very comfortable in there. She loves attention, loves to be petted, and snuggles like a champion though she is less like a cuddle friend and more like a blanket as she drapes across you. Siren has the energy you would expect from a young German Shepherd so she needs a home committed to walks, playtime, and training to keep her exercised and happy. He is excellent with other dogs and loves people. He is a BIG boy and needs some manners about not jumping up and being overzealous with his love so is best suited for a home with older kids and someone willing to put in some training to teach him good manners. Beetle loves to go for walks, loves to play fetch, and is happiest going on any adventure his human wants to take him on. He is housetrained and cratetrained. Name: Ripley Breeds: German Shepherd Age: Adult Sex: Male Size: Large Ripley is an adult German Shepherd, about 5-6 years old and 90 lbs. He is a fetch-loving, active dog who also knows how to mind his house manners. He is housetrained, knows basic commands, reliable off leash once attached, and is great with other dogs. He cannot be placed with cats. His favorite thing to do is bring a ball and stare until you throw it...and then do it again and again. If you don't throw it, he'll go off and play by himself too. Once his energy is out, he happily naps right but his person's feet. Ripley has the GSD loyalty unfortunately he takes that loyalty to a fault and needs an owner who will make sure to set firm boundaries. If he is allowed, he will resource guard his person and bark at anyone who approaches. While this is often seen as being "protective" it is not especially when it is directed towards people his person wants around. It is an insecurity behavior that stems from anxiety. Setting the boundary for him that he cannot resource guard his owner calms him down and put him in a far better mindset. Ripley does display separation anxiety when left alone. He settles once his owner has left but needs an owner who will consistently set him up for success by tiring him out prior to leaving, reinforcing calmness leaving and returning, and utilizing a very sturdy crate. He would love a home around more often than not. Ripley is an outstanding dog when he has those boundaries in place. He is excelling in his foster home where he knows exactly what is expected of him. He will be placed in a home with shared walls or in a home with a first time dog owner. Requirements: experienced home willing to set firm boundaries and be consistent. Story

Giovanni was adopted from Secondhand Hounds. He loves to play fetch and carry around a stick. He is also great at cuddling and learning new commands. He is sky outside our home but can be a bit protective when it comes to strangers in our house. A trainer has advised us on how to introduce guests to make Giovanni comfortable. She said that with some time he can relax and get better at it, but we do not currently have the capacity for this. He is just over a year old and very gentle with me and my partner. He is shy, energetic, playful and protective.

Annie is a very sweet, very happy, very good dog. She’s great on a leash and has ran several 5k’s! She has never had people food but she will try and convince you otherwise. Knows basic commands. Kennel trained. Never had an accident in the house. Loves squirrels and rabbits. Thinks everyone is her friend. All around great companion. This is a very difficult decision for us and we are looking for a kind and loving home for her so she can run and play to her hearts content!
