Milo was adopted from ARM as a young puppy back in 2018 as part of a litter of Aussie mixes. He has been well loved by his family for almost 7 years now and they are very sad to say he is looking for a new home as he has become stressed around the young toddler in the home and should not be in a home with children under 5. Milo is a very loving and loyal dog to his humans, loves to be pet, and greets everyone with excitement. Milo is a healthy Aussie mix (They are German Shepherd, Cattle Dog, Catahoula Leopard Dog, and finally a little Aussie.) weighing about 75 lbs. He suffered dual broken legs back in 2019 when he ran in front of a vehicle. His injuries healed well with surgery, only showing a slight limp temporarily if he lays in an awkward position for a period of time. As he ages, Milo may need care and monitoring for any issues with the screws in his hip bones and may develop arthritis. At current, he does not have any restrictions for activities and has been healthy and happy ever since. Milo does well with a female dog in the home that he has been with since a puppy and enjoys playing with other dogs outside. He does have a tendency to show resource guarding with other dogs when around food, vying for attention from preferred humans, or in indoor spaces, so he may be best as the only dog or with a female dog. Milo is house trained and does well in a crate. He currently lives in a home that has invisible fencing and does well. He also generally does well off leash and has reliable recall with those he's familiar with. He walks well on a leash. Milo is currently being fostered by his owner in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. The details: Need fence: Currently lives with invisible fencing, can be off lead on acreage. Pilot is a handsome 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing in at about 80 pounds of love, loyalty, and personality. This big guy may look tough, but with his people, he's an affectionate goofball who doesn't seem to realize just how large he is. Whether he's tossing his toys in the air, carrying sticks around the yard like prized treasures, or greeting his favorite humans with happy "roo-roo" noises and full-body wiggles, Pilot has a way of making everyone smile.Pilot is fully house-trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside by whining or heading to the door. His training will continue while he is in foster care to help set him up for long-term success. To help make the transition as smooth as possible, Pilot's adoption also includes an additional in-home training session with his trainer. He can be selective of dogs that he is accepting of, so introductions to new dogs should be done slowly, intentionally, and with great care. He has also lived with cats and can coexist peacefully once he gets to know them. New cats are very interesting to him, but he responds appropriately to their boundaries and corrections.Pilot's story has shaped who he is today. He came into rescue as a young puppy from an abandonment case and has experienced multiple home transitions throughout his life. In just a few short weeks, they've formed an incredible bond and become the sweetest of friends. As Trig recovers from surgery, Maxx has been a gentle, patient companion. He quickly learned to walk nicely alongside Trig's stroller and has been a steady source of comfort throughout his recovery. Trig, in turn, adores Maxx, often seeking him out for snuggles and happily walking beside him on leash. Together they're discovering the joys of playing fetch with balls and Frisbees, love going for car rides, and have wonderfully matched energy levels. His exercise continues to improve.  He walks up to a mile twice a day.  Less in the heat. He has enjoyed stroller rides, but those are winding down as he improves. Ideally, a car ride to a fun place for a short walk is his dream.Despite the hardships he's endured, Trig remains incredibly kind and resilient. He loves people, adores his brother Maxx, shows interest in other dogs, and is beginning to reveal what an engaging, social companion he'll be once he's fully healed. We're working on free roam while I'm gone for short trips...he's doing well. He's quite attentive watching for my return but settles nicely when he feels safe. He also does great in the car! He’s incredibly people-focused, eager to please, and already showing off his smarts with commands like sit, shake, lay down, stay, and of course, come!Maxx has a sibling dog in Trig and loves him. Having a sibling dog would be ideal. Cats have been a bridge too far, so not recommended. He cannot live in homes with young kids (under 13) simply due to his size — he could easily knock little ones over without meaning to. Older, dog-savvy kids would be a better match.Maxx is big and strong, and walks are a workout.  He generally follows along, but a quick, strong diversion to a tree or bush is likely, as is excitement at seeing other dogs.  When stimulated, he has heightened awareness, nervousness, and unpredictability.  Shorten the leash, steer clear of the issue, and move along....it takes effort and focus. He's not aggressive, just agitated. After the walk of a mile or two, less in heat, he's ready to crash.  He loves to lay on the deck in nice weather, or anywhere inside and pass out.  He takes his time eating breakfast and pounds down dinner.  An active home that can control his exercise needs will get a lovable lug in return. We're working on fetch...he'll get it soon.  Fenced yard is preferred.  His strength makes other containment less safe.He’s a big, goofy, loving dog who just wants to be near his people and be told he’s a good boy (which he is). Ollie is a 2–3-year-old Shepherd mix who perfectly balances adventure buddy and cuddlebug. At 40 pounds, he’s big enough to join you on long walks and outdoor fun, but perfectly content to curl up next to you on the couch afterward. He’s happiest when he’s near his people.He was quiet and subdued his first couple of days in foster care, cuddling almost immediately, and grew more playful and confident as he settled in. He’s fully house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home. Ollie knows “kennel” and will head right into his crate, though he's done well when left out and content to nap for hours.Ollie is great with other dogs and gets very excited when he sees them out and about. He does not have experience with cats or with children, so a proper introduction is recommended.This boy has high energy and will need more than just a quick stroll around the block. Multiple daily walks are recommended, and a fenced yard will be required in his future home to meet his energy needs. His favorite activity is running free and sniffing everything in sight, but also enjoys puzzle toys to keep his smart mind busy. He loves soft or crinkly toys (fair warning: they may not survive long), and he’ll happily chase a tennis ball — he just hasn’t quite grasped the concept of bringing it back. Clifford is a 3-month-old happy-go-lucky Shepherd mix puppy with a survivor's spirit and a heart full of love. This handsome little guy is almost 10 pounds already and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog (26–60 pounds). With his sleek black coat, adorably clumsy lope, and unique gray-and-pink tongue, Cliffie is impossible not to fall in love with!Cliffie had a difficult start to life. He and his littermates were found abandoned under a porch when they were only days old. At just 1.9 pounds, he was the tiny runt of the litter, and there were concerns he might even be blind. Thankfully, his eyes opened, his small corneal ulcer is healing well, and today he's a thriving, healthy, mischievous puppy whose resilience shines through every day.When playtime is over, Cliffie is all about the cuddles. He loves being close to his people and has been wonderfully gentle with children, happily snuggling into their laps and showering them with puppy kisses. Like any young puppy, he's still mouthy with those tiny razor-sharp puppy teeth, but he redirects easily and is eager to learn.Cliffie is just beginning his puppy education. He has started using puppy pads, enjoys relaxing in his open crate with a special toy, and will need continued training as he grows. He's good with other dogs, has not yet been tested with cats, and would do well in just about any loving home that is ready for all the fun, and work, that comes with raising a puppy.One thing you'll quickly learn about Cliffie? He takes mealtime very seriously! The only time he gets vocal is when dinner isn't arriving fast enough.
